100 artists styles for Midjourney 5.2 experimentation
A summary of each artists style for quick reference :
Alan Lee: Celebrated for his ethereal illustrations of J.R.R. Tolkien’s works, Lee’s fantasy art captures the enchantment of Middle Earth.
Albert Watson: A prolific photographer, Watson’s signature style is marked by dramatic portraits and innovative fashion shots.
Aleksi Briclot: Known for his concept art and illustrations, especially in the gaming industry, Briclot masterfully blends realism with fantasy.
Alena Aenami: Aenami’s digital art evokes serene landscapes and dreamy atmospheres, often bathed in soft light.

https://www.geeky-gadgets.com/mi…- Yeah, I think I posted a link to a spreadsheet that listed all of the vacuumed artists a while back. Quiet scary how wide and deep that list was.Nairn
- prompting with artist names is lame.uan
- eh.Nairn
- it's hard for artists to make a name. you have to find your style and a market. and you build your reputation around your style / styles.uan
- prompts describing the style in artistic terms are ok. but using a name as a shortcut is lame.uan
- I ignored the artist names for a long time but have been testing it out recently. There's a good list here...
https://www.midlibra…yuekit - As soon as you add other keywords the result can deviate pretty dramatically from the style of the artist it's supposed to be based on. So maybe best viewed asyuekit

- Yet no discernable difference in the porttraits tagged with focal lengths "35mm, 50mm and 80mm"jonny_quest_lives
- 35mm would technically be a wide full frame, 50mm is close to human vision... if anything all of them are closer to 80mmjonny_quest_lives
- If anything "35mm, 50mm and 80mm" just cue midjourney to deliver a photo realistic portraitjonny_quest_lives
- i just think it more probable that Midjourney is emulating it's training data versus on the fly rendering of user inputs/prompts and a lot of nuance items like:jonny_quest_lives
- ISO. camera type, Focal length just get lumped into the photorealism render bucketjonny_quest_lives
- if anything it's more RLHF than the model accounting for that type of nuance/data points..jonny_quest_lives
- It all comes down to user voting and retraining...jonny_quest_lives
- I didn’t read any of that. Either way, you were wrong and are annoyingimbecile

I've decided my new geek hobby and creative outlet is RC crawler, so I've been trying to generate some inspiration for complete from-scratch scale builds:

How do you get Midjourney to do corn on the cob without fucking leaves?
No matter what prompt I do it always does it with fucking leaves.
Even if I write "no leaves" it just doesn't get it.
- what's wrong with leaves? they're really really cool.doesnotexist
- lol @ corn on the cob. Have you tried using a reference image?yuekit
- Naked corn the cob.palimpsest
- add "buttered"sarahfailin
- Check the documentation, might be something like "--no leaves"Frosty_spl

- I'm not sure if "Knolling" is the latest trend, however the results seem to be fairly consistent in Midjourney...unlike some of the other prompts.utopian

- they scrapped stock photos, ofc you can get watermarks in the results
same with SD
but it seems not in Dall E at least I haven't got any so fargrafician - you can search here for images used to train de models: https://rom1504.gith…grafician

- @grafician is an idiot. room1504 an open source semantic search to harvest data.

Are there any good tutorials on Youtube that show how to get started, set-up and use MidJourney?

- Utopian, PAY! Seriously, pay for the premium and you can not only view others work in the community but you can see their full prompts too.microkorg

I can't help but feel this is just Snapchat filters for designers... I am neither excited nor sold by the work. What am missing!?!
- I'd say it's more than just "Snapchat Filters". But for sure it's not meant to replace designers & illustrators just yet.NBQ00
- you're so old you've forgotten that you acquired appreciation of the mediums you enjoykingsteven
- Stephen Zapata had a good video on the whole situation... the key takeaways for me were AI open source foundations aren't doing this with musicjonny_quest_lives
- Cuz the recording industry will fuck them up with copyright violations. Visual Artists they expect to roll over which seems to be true.jonny_quest_lives
- Then one of his closing thoughts was how sad do you have to be to automate something you genuinely enjoy doingjonny_quest_lives
- So this technology's sole purpose is to replace artists or allow non artists to emulate artistry.jonny_quest_lives

- 25 years as a fucking pixel pusher this shit has never gotten easier and AI probably won't change that as long as marketing departments are involved.jonny_quest_lives
