So we're spending our first Christmas at home because of fucking Covid, and I need to come up with some kind of Christmas Tree thing for the front room.
We don't want a real tree - yet. We have a small midget-child-thing and needles won't do well this year. So. Partner is currently scooting around Etsy for ideas, but given I have the means to make something myself, I'm wondering if you lot have seen 'crafted' (yuk) Christmas Trees that you've liked? If so - care to share?
Thanks in advance, hoes hoes hoes!

Doesn't need to be large. In fact, preferably not so much.
Front rooms in London aren't generally known for their hugeness.

- Simple vector description, cut out of 1.5mm plywood, so you can get some tight detail in there, should you wish. Do it. Email me.Nairn
- You can go down to about a millimetre of remnant detail on 1.5mm plywood, so you can get some fairly intricate cuts. Not *too* much though, obvs.Nairn

- Rental. Can't fuck with walls!
Gnash's post above makes me realise I can make something that hangs down from the mantlepiece though.Nairn - Ooh, actually - bottom right rests against wall, doesn't it? That's not a bad idea.
Thanks!Nairn - In my childhood, for some years, we used old Xmas cards for our tree. So wall mounted was the first thing that popped to mind.palimpsest

- Despite spending a good three years of my life pretending to be Jewish with a certain group of friends, I'm not actually.
100% foreskin here.Nairn - (it was a joke that got a bit out of control, so I ended up just living it. Or, at least, pretending to).Nairn
- And by 100% foreskin here, I meant that literally. As in https://www.sciencea…Nairn

Rent a tree in a pot, return it, someone else will rent it next year, after a few years they plant them in a forest

- PhanLo posted something above, which he said he'd made, which 'er indoors ordered the night I posted this thread.Nairn
- If I'd seen it prior, I'd've definitely gone uan's route, just below. I could've got some nice big sheets of green paper and rolled them ito a tree. oh well.Nairn
- ..could've laser cut progressively larger and thicker arcs, with small holes to stick LEDs through, stacking to make a conifer-like descent on the cone. DamnitNairn
- made little pineneedle-like notches to hang baubles and tinsel on. I HAD IT ALL WORKED OUT.Nairn
