Now you can use your NFTs as collateral for a loan.
Banks (slow evolution since the days of ledger books being handwritten and hand signed cheques 20 years ago ) > Fintech (reasonable speed evolution, eg Revolut, Starling Bank etc) > Crypto (supersonic jet speed evolution).

LOL to all the douchebags that pretended to know that "fungibe" was a word, let alone know what it means.

So minting on Tezos which is harmless is the way to go vs. wasting money on gas and ruining everything using ETH
Oh well
- Still can't shake the idea that you can just "buy" any digital artwork by sending paypal real cash to the artist, no need for cryptografician
- The big money is still in ETH but tezos is catching up. Tezos may be the way the masses get into affordable nfts.microkorg
- but NFTs are a scam, why would the masses get into it?!grafician

here you go, the code for an NFT platform LOL
https://github.com/rgab1508/Open…
"Open Store is a NFT marketplace where traders can buy and sell NFT tokens through the usage of ethers and track the ownership of digital assets.
Problem it Solves
Duplicate Asset Problem: Duplication of digital assets is not possible due to non fungibility of NFT's.No Tampering of Data: No one can easily tamper the data as the data is stored on the blockchain.
Quick Transactions from Polygon: Polygon provided us with quick transaction speed which boosted the User Experience of our website.
Ownership Record Maintainance: Ownership can be tracked easily as smart contract passes the ownership from the seller to buyer directly.
Data Storage problem of Blockchain: Blockchain can't be used for storing media files for media assets in an efficient manner, so we used IPFS for digital assets."

PhanLo,
Here's another great OnCyber gallery. This one is split into different areas different styles.
Have owned a couple of the pieces no display here but flipped them and made a couple of grand ;)
- Get that paper!palimpsest
- The artwork in that one is actually really decent. Sometimes with NFT's I think the style of the images is nonsense and it makes no sense.PhanLo

@palimpsest et al
"The Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) is an open, technical standards body addressing the prevalence of misleading information online through the development of technical standards for certifying the source and history (or provenance) of media content".
- Wasn't aware of this, will read up on it.palimpsest
- This is pretty cool, so simply put expanded metadata to show who made it, how, and when.microkorg
- and if it's a legit edition or a copymicrokorg
- Doesn't show proof of ownership though, this is where tying it to an NFT on the blockchain would come in.microkorg
- This is an open system that can be used anywhere. While NFTs only apply to their own ecosystem. NFTs are a circle jerk, only valuable to those inside it.palimpsest

"Valve bans blockchain games and NFTs on Steam"
- Fair enough, it's their platform so it's their rules. Could it be cos they can't take a cut? ;)microkorg
- No, it's because the logistics of using NFTs in games are practically impossible to implement?grafician
- Whoever said NFTs will be used in games to trade items and such was a moron and/or straight out lied.grafician
- Impossible to implement on an outdated platform I read yesterday on Twitter.
Also, it's TOTALLY about not being able to track the in-app incomes to then chargemicrokorg - a cut on. isn't that why the article is mentioning apple at the end?microkorg

Hey crew - if anyone is in Tokyo Oct. 28th - Nov. 3rd, stop by TRUNK HOTEL for our second edition of CRYPTOKYO.
It'll be a smaller NFT exhibit, but should be a blast!
The showcase work will be "KING HIRO" by Tadaomi Shibuya.
It's a portrait of Hiro Fujita, a pretty famous creative director from McCann here in Tokyo who has ALS.The MISSION:
http://end-als.com/mission.htmlAs his body functions deteriorated, he wanted to start an awareness foundation for the disease and we're hoping to spread the word upon showing the piece.
It was presented to Hiro by P.H.A.S.E.2 - a prominent graffiti artist from NYC who died of ALS in 2019.
Besides the main work, there will be a ton of other great artists showing. I will be showing the latest work from my DOORS series. If you download the artivive app, you can see the AR experience - been exploring this feature and hope to do more work in that space in the future.
Anyhow, see the link below to the press release and a few pics from the DOORS series.
As always - thanks for the support and can't wait to meet folks in person if you're in town - be safe and keep creating ya'll ; )

I’ve decided to take a job leading the product design team at MakersPlace.. an NFT marketplace. I don’t know a lot about the space (just what I’ve gleaned from podcasts) so this is a real opportunity for learning after feeling pretty safe in my last few positions. Will be referring back to this thread often to continue to expand the knowledge base. Wish me luck!
- Good luck. Get that paper!palimpsest
- Hope you're being compensated reallllly wellnb
- Not that the job will be bad or anything... just that this job should be paying lots!nb
- What sort of products does MakersPlace make?dopepope

- Don't get me wrong.. I have reservations.. and I'm not in it for the art this time.bogue
- But I do feel like the internet is changing in a way I no longer fully understand. And this feels like a way to connect back into this change that's happeningbogue
- What part of money laundering fuck cuckery you don't understand?babydick
- lol babydickmonospaced
- Haha.. most of it. So hopefully I’ll be a better money launderer when this is all said and done.bogue
- Anyway, good luck, man.babydick
- @bogue this position is about supporting the creators and developing new products for the NFTs space and not producing actual NFTs right?sted
- oh and good luck :)sted
- Just make sure they don't pay you in NFTs.palimpsest
- ya.. correct. Auction experiences, collection experiences, drop experiences, and creator minting experiences.. and whatever else we come up with.bogue
- and I do get paid in cold hard cash.. but one of the perks is a 400$ a month stipend to buy NFTs on the platform. So we'll see about that.bogue
- "Get yourself something nice"palimpsest
- Congrats on the job, MakersPlace is one of the premium marketplaces where you need an invite to join. The $400 each month to spend...microkorg
- ..is a pretty decent perk. If you invest wisely and do some well timed flips you could make a lot of money.microkorg
- When you get started there, please action getting rid of their inaccessible text colours - light grey and orange. :)microkorg
