The literal only value I can see in NFTs is restricting the dissemination of a digital asset *within a contained and restricted environment* - eg. Something like Second Life, in which case any blockchainnedness is rendered completely irrelevant, as an NFT would need to be signed against a central authority.
Owning a hash is one thing, proving that hash and making it work usefully, is another.
