I haven't donated any money this year to any of the organizations people talk about.
I feel bad. I know any amount can potentially help.
I have a job and some money but not a ton. I'm more fortunate than some friends who constantly post on Insta about causes and do work even though they lost their jobs or don't have money.
I make art on the side for fun and a friend was encouraging me to sell some and donate the proceeds. And my first thought was "I don't even know how to sell it in real life".

^ It's way more complicated than this. You have to understand how Dixiecrats played into the scenario during the civil rights movement. The National Democrat party was faced with doing what was right (voting for civil rights), or maintaining power by keeping segregationalist Dixiecrats on board. They ultimately passed civil rights legislation with Republicans and cleaved their party in two. Goldwater (R) used this opportunity to convert the segregationalist (and Democrat) south into a Republican stronghold by becoming more racist.

The 18th century definition of left wing politics doesn't make sense anymore. The left all over the world are puritans and Stalinists, who crave censorship and work for the profit of international corporations. The rights on the contrary have won the voices of the traditionally left voters (working class and petty bourgeoisie). I myself signed out from the left in mid 2010s, and have been sitting on the fence since then, not knowing what side to pick.

Therefore black students drive 3 hours each way to study in white areas, and vice versa, white students drive 3 hours to study in black areas.
The result was as expected: white upper middle class families who could afford it took their children out of public schools and sent them to private ones (which are entirely white of course).
