Taking the dog out to check the mail. Apartment complex. Clubhouse generally has doggie treats he loves but is closed. End up with him sitting at the door and hoping 2 geriatric dudes walking slowly might go inside but they just check the mail. Nod at each other and one says something along the lines of still living, and the other responds with I've been in worse crisis. Love it. True grit. However a jog downtown with 80% of people i saw being homeless and could cross roads whenever i liked, and butcher paper up int windows and signs on doors about security, and homeless face up to windows peering in on those without paper.... probably cut 30 seconds per mile.
