    • Consider that voluntarily showing your thong isn't permission to be assaulted or abused.i_monk
    • She's lamenting that women are "over sexualized..." in holllywood. her IG post completely supports, and makes her complicit to, that perceptionGnash
    • Totally, utterly and unequivocally missed the point there, i_monk.set

    • A woman deciding to put on a thong on her vacation and take pictures ≠ a woman told to put on a thong or lose the role/get cut from the scene.i_monk
    • Just as set might love poop play, he probably wouldn't want to be forced into it by someone in a position of authority over his job.i_monk
    • Still missing the point there, sunshine. lolset

i keep thinking, who are all these guys whipping their dick out and exposing themselves randomly? my homegirl just told me that happened to her at a bar recently during some light conversation with a couple of people. im so thankful that's never happened to me. Besides some aggressive New York cat calling and one guy stepping infront of me so i couldn't pass without speaking to him, I've never been sexually harrassed outside of professional situations. You'd think itd be the other way around but not for me -- or so I thought. maybe its just that the professional situations stand out the most because they are so obviously wrong. When I think a little harder there's been plenty of situations ive forgiven or shrugged off because you just can't hold onto everything, it'd be way too much baggage to carry around. But God, it's like a minefield out there.

Once when I was preparing to get off the subway I moved close to the door and was looking out the window to get a view of signage as we approached the stain. As we came to a stop, I locked eyes with a man on the platform and quickly looked away cos awkward. The door opened and instead of tilting my head down like i do when i know where im going, my head was fully up to continue reading overhead signage. The guy I looked eyes with walked towards me as I exited the train and planted a kiss right on my mouth, he entered the train and the doors closed. It was a packed midtown rush, so there were people pushing behind me and he was coming at me, there was no avoiding the man and i wasnt prepared for him to kiss my face out of the blue. He stared at me as the train rolled away and i stood there sort of frozen in shock.

    ugh... so gross.

    • fuck, that's terrible.BusterBoy
    • Shit. What the hell goes on in some men's tiny little minds?Ianbolton
    • i never thought i was the freeze in place type. im athletic, i shoot guns, i do archery, im pretty tough. but i froze. i didn't scream, yell, or react.shellie
    • women cant be owned, they're not blow up dolls or fuck toys, but they're often treated as such. we arent sisters, daughters, mothers or wives when this happensshellie
    • that is fucked up. I had a niegbour that would get coked up and expose himself to my sisters room. He had built a system to monitor her without her knowning.mugwart
    • I often wonder the mindsets, decisions and even life experiences to allow them to think that they are able to do this ...mugwart
    • I'm gonna sound like kyles mom here... I blame romance Novels and romcom portraying these behavier as romantic...pango
    • And some people replayed the scenario over and over again in there head and finally one day he had the courage to do it.pango
    • And gave him self a pat on the back because he did it.pango
    • Romance is nice and important to relationships. Romance has to be respected (not the case here!). It can be very hit and miss if works and not.mugwart
    • https://youtu.be/qcl…pango
    • And also seriously you can find anything on YouTube that supports your argument.pango
    • Romance shouldn’t be hit and miss if you’re not being a cunt. Do the obvious thing if you like someone, just don’t be creepy about itIanbolton
    • i definately didn't do anything, spoken or unspoken, to suggest that this was okay. I thought about the romance angle. i hate romcoms for this reason.shellie
    • 98% of stuff that happens in romantic movies would seriously creep me out as this did. same with stalking or not taking no for an answer.shellie
    • You should get a taser. Something high voltage would do.futurefood
    • Especially during midtown rush, you can just tase away at anything and no one will notice.futurefood
    • gah. my face when i read this. >:Osarahfailin
    • "Romance shouldn’t be hit and miss if you’re not being a cunt" your right, I worded mine incorrectly. I meant it can be hard to get right & emotions run highmugwart
    • to be fair I agree completely about modern romance. Older generations had R&J, Wathering heights, the most romantic thing last 25 years mainstream is friendsmugwart
    • Because unsolicited kissing on the mouth is funny and what boys do. (Sarcasm) https://youtu.be/2XD…pango
    • everyone should get ask 1st by default. i promise its not a turn off. every threshold you cross with a woman should be discussed. mutually created boundaries.shellie
    • the chance that you're wrong if you don't could be a terribly illegal overstep that leaves the other feeling abused. its time to train our kids differently.shellie

Pamela Anderson: Weinstein’s Accusers Knew What They Were ‘Getting Into’ by Going to Hotel Rooms Alone

    https://www.mediaite.com/online/…

    • Ahhh the voice of sexual reason, at last..set
    • she's gonna get blasted for victim-blaming. sense has no place in identity politicsGnash
    • People hate when the "use your common sense" argument is made, but she not saying they deserved it.robotron3k
    • She's dating Julian Assange. What is life?shellie
    • "Send someone with them to the hotel... they should know better.."
What the actual fuck... so that is actually the problem?
      Fabricio
    • "Hey girl, your skirt was too short, thats why you got raped.. you should have actually used something else that night"Fabricio
    • ^ not what she's saying at all. the problem is the rapist, clearly. she's not transferring blameGnash
    • "if he answers the door in a bathrobe, don't go in"Gnash
    • I got beat up by a gaggle of skinheads once because I wore a DuranDuran t-shirt to a Black Flag concert. I knew it wasn't a brilliant ideaGnash
    • 3 broken ribs later and I rethought my ironic fashion choices at future gigs.Gnash
    • was it fair? was my shirt the problem? was it my fault? no. But I still got traumatized.Gnash
    • In Brazil, a gay person is murdered every 23 hours. Me and some other friends were warned to not hold hands in public...Fabricio
    • So, if I get punched in the street, or worse.. murdered...is it my fault that this happened because I could clearly see what possible outcome of this situation?Fabricio
    • And not the animals who are actually causing these violence?Fabricio
    • I will NEVER understand this logic, that someone in power, using his resources and influences to get what he wants, and still, somehow...Fabricio
    • Pamela-Fucking-Ander... believes that these girls should know better than going to a hotel with a guy like this alone for a meeting...Fabricio
    • It is ok to expect that the person wont be a sexual creep, dickhead or a creep. If we start thinking that people "should know better" in every fucked up situatiFabricio
    • situation... then we are indeed.. FUCKED!Fabricio
    • PS: Sorry about your broken ribs Gnash :( Still, yeah, the idea wasnt great, but the animals that did this to you is the wrong part of the story.Fabricio
    • for sure they were. and it's obviously not something I need to consider every moment as you do. my situation was insignificant compared to you.Gnash
    • I only think that Pam wasn't trying to blame the girls here - only that it was well known about him. If they didn't know then their agent should have.Gnash
    • Past experience has also taught me not to take back-alley short cuts anymore. I know it's not the same but that's 'my' vs of common sense', as wellGnash
    • and of course it's not your fault if you're attacked. I can't even imagine how horrible that would be, not being able to express yourself for fear of violence.Gnash
    • didn't mean to suggest otherwise. my apologiesGnash
    • Nah, no need to apologise man, I can see your perspective too... but I think that Pamela, as a woman, shouldnt even place the victims as that you know?Fabricio
    • The girls Weinstein moved towards were people that were in disadvantage professionally, he had control of the situation... so it wasnt black and whiteFabricio
    • Im a bit drunk now... so my arguments will be weird hehe :)Fabricio
    • booze, an excellent lubricant for discussion -- but go have fun, instead :)Gnash
    • i don't think she's blaming these women. Nor taking away the pain. Its a shit interview with shit direction directing.mugwart
    • these guys are cunts and have been in a power role in a golden period of money. Hollywood has always been a cesspool. ITs heart breakingmugwart
    • it was one of Lynch's themes in all his films. Especially MD.mugwart
    • its fucked as to get the role they had to get in the hotel, no way around it. These cunts felt they had to own people. but you dont need me to say this.mugwart
    • Yeah, I've watched this interview several times now... and maybe she didnt mean to come across like this...Fabricio
    • Agree with you allset
    • Apart from chukka, who didn't even say anything, but I definitely don't agreeset
    • Just watched a painful talk from black flag designer at the new museum.notype
    • Fabricio- that is why she used the words "common sense" meaning that one is able to see a dangerous situation and avoid it. Therefore that person has agency.cannonball1978

Men, is it Becoming Harder to Flirt?

    https://goodmenproject.com/featu…

“A person’s appearance will forever be a loud topic of discussion. We dress for ourselves and for others. Unfortunately, the excitement of self-expression seems to be depilated by perception, which confuses the concept of freedom, free to not care about what one thinks of you or how you choose to look. “
