Where was Luke during all of this?

Saw it last night. Best fan film ever.
Even though music wasn't by John Williams, I still felt it held up. Great score when Vader is revealed before he does the force choke.

When Vader told that pun...
it was as if they've ruined what they'd created throughout the series. To gain what? Some younger kids approval?

Was that Obi-Wan Kenobi in that 1 frame?

I didnt mind the little pun that vader made. That was just normal dark side trash talking. Sidious did that shit a lot. Made lots of little snarky remarks to vader and luke in the originals being a smartass, and he did it to yoda in revenge of the sith, mocking him a few times.

Idk if you can really say that its "darker". Its a pretty serious movie, with some jokes thrown in here and there. Revenge of the Sith had a dudes legs cut off and was left to burn alive on a beach, and about 20 kids killed, even though they didnt show it. To me that is the darkest SW movie. This isnt quite that troubling.
- I guess you can say this is an adult heist movie, with some silly aliens peppered into it. Its not DARK though. This isnt The Road.CygnusZero4
- Revenge of the Sith was balanced with that love shitsted
- I really loved how they ended r1, with all the scenessted
- I thought it sucked.teh
- ^ So what? Not everyone likes the same shit. I thought it was good, but not great. Nothing wrong with that.CygnusZero4

As a fan, I enjoyed it very much. That last scene with Vader made me a little giddy actually. ha. Also glad it didn't end in a kiss or something stupid like that.

- I was surprised the overhead shot of the shuttle flying over the fallen Jedi statue didn't make it in. There was a small hint of it - but not a strong shot.BH26

- they looked amazing. never seen that kind of likeness and realism in a cg character in a movie before!scarabin

- Looking beyond the aesthetics, i was impressed with where they took the character and that, by doing so, made A New Hope a much better film, imoBluejam

I liked it.
Nice photography and framing, great cam work.
Make sense, nice to have some more in-dept of the rebellion vs the empire.
Some weird acting here and there, CG human are meh.

Cpt. Cassian shot first. for real this time.
- He was by far the most dynamic interesting character, that having been said, not terribly impressed with his actingterry_cloth

ugh. how do you expect to sell "hope" with such a bleak movie? it's the same motivation behind the last Superman failure.
for better or worse, the problem with Tarkin was that the voice actor was so terrible. Nothing about Cushing is that animated he was deliberately pinched and reserved. They missed that opportunity.
i guess ladies can fly y-wings too.
liked the Dubai visuals, once i could blot out the thin plot of jamming the tape-drive through the master-switch.
most importantly, had hoped that there would be some Garreth Edwards magic in all that corporate steamroller but it looks like the Mouse was able to stamp that out.
- the movie represente Clinton's loss. The final scene was the end of the Democratic party. It was a sacrificesince1979

- I thought about Trump several times. The hope references reminded me of Obama. Too bad real events went down the toilet instead the other way around.CyBrainX
