Just delivered wedding photos to bride. I feel so damn FREEEE!
A total of 753 images. I learned so much from this wedding, I can't wait to get better and charge more $$!
Tuan if you're reading this THANKS so much for your guidance!
I used Pixieset.com galleries, and so far no complaints.
- I use Pixie Set for Culling from the client side.pango
- Serious question: How do you stand it? I don't like going to my friend's weddings, much less working at a stranger's.garbage
- Does your friend pay you to be at his wedding?pango
- haha I see it as easy money. prep the week before and work on speeding up my editing workflow. as far as the wedding day, once I got passed the terror of..HijoDMaite
- not knowing what I'm doing and fucking up then I just try and take charge. people want to be directed and told what to do. they want to see a confident...HijoDMaite
- photographer, it makes people comfortable. Plus everyone is SO happy man! trust me I still have a long way to go, I'm still clueless in using lights properly.HijoDMaite
- lol pango. Paid in crystal tumblers, free lodging and drink.garbage
- @hijo I just don't vibe with weddings. Some of my friends have tried to get me to work with them. I know the money is good, but the whole scene is so cornballgarbage
- I'm going to start a divorce photography service, that's where the new money is.garbage
- Lol I’ve thought of a divorce shoot too.HijoDMaite
- And all I can say about the cornball comment is “suspension of disbelief” man.HijoDMaite
- To each their own. The last wedding I went to was medieval themed. I had to dress up like a plague-ridden hunchback. Maybe I'm still just sour about that.garbage
- HahaHijoDMaite

Which QBN user had all those old film cameras for sale?
Does anyone have a Konica Hexar RF body for sale?
- That's Tuan / BigTrick
http://www.qbn.com/b…mg33 - Thanks manHijoDMaite
- Ha, I just responded to spl33nidoru about my Hexar AF. Almost a weird coincidence.garbage
- Used car salesman voice: But why do you want a Hexar RF? I have a Minox B with filters, flash, cases, manual, and original boxing that's right up your alley.garbage
- Garbage you were the one!HijoDMaite
- Basically I want a film camera for street photography. And I want to be able to use the top lenses. So I thought M mount would be it.HijoDMaite
- They're good for that. I have the AF, which a weird as fuck point and shoot with a stellar lens. There are factory level, Konami-style cheat codes that..garbage
- ..unlock hidden features in the camera, including an absolutely silent mode. It's known as the Poor Man's Leica, so fun to shoot with.garbage
- Garbage let’s make a deal!HijoDMaite
- My Hexar (AF) is my baby, take it with me everywhere. Could never part with it.garbage
- https://www.japancam… I'd suggest this guy. Lives in Japan and sources like-new cameras. Haven't dealt with him in years, so not sure about..garbage
- ..his current stock, but if you dropped him a line he might be able to find you a really clean RF body.garbage

Canon’s new mirrorless camera is like an M5 in a smaller (and cheaper) body
https://www.theverge.com/circuit…
-
- Fail. No viewfinder. I have the original M, good pics, but w/o the viewfinder it sits at home (can't see a damn thing in that LCD in sun!)formed
- the battery drain with LCD on all the time is ridiculous, tooformed
- the size is interestingBennn
- but i'll stick to my Fuji X-T20Bennn
- Sony a6000 over thatmicrokorg

very curious about this
wonder if we're finally getting closer to having a full frame sensor in phones.
- i wonder if they'll make it modular to work with the leica's motorola attachment. might not even need to.jaylarson
- https://www.youtube.…
this guy got hands on some prototypes...looks cool, more like a cam than a phoneuan - can't have ff w/o the lens to fit the ff. I like Sony's ff cams, but the require ff lenses, so the advantage of mirrorless is eliminated (so I am with M43 now)formed

I'm looking for a small light source, LCD, battery operated. Any idea?? Something to bring into the forest to light small plants and mushrooms.
- LCD? I meant LEDBennn
- really anything...outdoor headlamp, silicon bike lights, dimmable torch, video leds...uan
- or get a speed lite with an EzyBox Speed-Lite for your cam.uan
- or get a small source (bike light, headlamp) into an ezybox. or use layers of semitransparent tape to dim them down...or move them far from the subjectuan
- you could use natural light and a sheet of polystyrene or white cardboard/plastic to bounce natural light into place.uan
- small subject -> use small lightsource...I could imagine using a candle would work nice for mushroomsuan

- a headlight, good idea! I have a good one already, even with a red led. thanks!Bennn
- looking forward to see those pics!uan

Fuji will release a X80 this year, replacing the X70
- woohoo!BuddhaHat
- I saw that earlier today. It's funny that in the article I saw, it had some bad vibes for the X70. It's like I told you Bennnnnn, I wouldn't want it for mymg33
- only camera, but as a camera that compliments more expensive gear, and that takes far better photos than a cell phone, it fits that need.mg33
- totallyBennn
- an APC-S sensor that small is very nice, and Fuji!Bennn

Photographer's $1 Billion Copyright Mistake
- sounds interesting, a little too long to watch at the moment, what's the gist?_niko
- oh, right this: https://petapixel.co…_niko
- too bad, I hoped she would have fucked getty_niko
- ^ ya, me too.Gnash
- sad. when i originally saw this news story i thought she was going to fuck getty over too. sad its ended as a whimper.microkorg

- uv filter + grad filter + very high fstop to create sun star & everything in focus. Or bracketed HDR in camera option. Both using heavy color editing in post.HijoDMaite
- Exactly what I was looking for Hijo, ¡gracias amigo!BuddhaHat
- I'd say bracketing. That would be a hell of an achievement to have a deep blue sky, clear flare and glowing flowers all at once, in camera.formed

I have started using DJI's Ground Station Pro with my phantom 4 to automate large scale aerial photos, its free and works really well.
Basically you can create large 50-100mp landscape images from a birdseye view without having to do any piloting. Going to experiment on some nice semi abstract looking forest aerials next week.
