- Love F1 and these are great!SteveJobs
- Do they look better because of more advanced processing techniques or because the older photos/negatives from that era have just degraded.SteveJobs
- don't know much about film photography obviously.SteveJobs
- ^ because of both, but also (and would even say mainly) because of the Photographer's fantastic work! He truly captures the speed, dynamic, mood and atmosphere.Krassy
- i like the longevity of these photos. saw them a while back and still love them. remind me of color photos my father took of an f1 race he attended in the 70s.imbecile
- the grain / noise and contrast really aid the viewer in focusing on the momentimbecile
- These are very well taken photos, regardless of the tool. These are superb. Truly "art".formed

- There's a great documentary on her on Netflix. https://dvd.netflix.…CyBrainX
- She's amazing. I saw Henri Cartier-Bresson's exhibition i 2010 in MoMA and it was great. Like Elliott Erwitt too, but I think Maier's is my favourite...Luda
- I always wondered if the story of her negatives being found in a trunk is actually true. It all seems a bit staged. Never the less, love her work.utopian
- I believe it's true. I remember being part the original discussion on a Flickr group where John Maloof posted asking what he should do with the negatives.mort_
- https://www.flickr.c…mort_
- Been fascinating watching the story unfold over the years.mort_
- I got the impression from the documentary that she was a pretty neglectful nanny and that her photography came first, which is a bit sad.mort_
- @Luda She always reminded me of Erwitt in her ability for shooting the one-liner.garbage
- Lol mort, same herefuturefood
- I love her work, and that shot of the woman is a personal favourite. Saw an exhibition of her later colour work down in Göteborg a few years back, wonderful.face_melter
