Btw,
Is it possible to disable "Version" in Lion so it will not consume space on HDD?
- versions only works in Apple apps for now. I doubt it's consuming that muchanimatedgif

^ well this is why you're not on the Apple branding team chossy ^
"The flat-headed cat (Prionailurus planiceps) is a small wild cat"
OS X releases are named after BIG CATS not small cats.

Guess this is end-of-the-update-line for my late '06 iMac. Now just waiting for a new model. *tapping foot impatiently.
- Gotta wait for the retina version now I guessanimatedgif
- The 2011 model is pretty solid. No retina display, that would be cray - but it's still a solid machine.jtb26
- Retina on an iMac isn't that appealing to me right now.monospaced

Apple announce something? Time to bitch on the internet!
That said... fuck I wish they just fix the terrible calendar app and search in mail - lion has to be the worst os they have released in a long time. Snow leopard was a thing of beauty, I'd downgrade if I wasn't so lazy.

im on osx snow leopard on a macbook(core duo 2 gigherz, macbook 3,1 for conaisseur) that officially can be upgraded to 2gig of ram and unoficially to 6gigs, got it now with 2,5gig ram, runing smooth with xcode 4.2

coming from the pc world, i think osx is really a great OS , one nice option would be to have a pref or more prefs(if this cant be easily synthetize) to enable or disable OS animations, for ex a pref maybe that devs would chose to have the whole system without fancy animation.
- anyway not really a big prob is just that sometimes in xcode some slides in and stuff just anoys me a biti_was

one thing that got my attention is the way the capacity of the hard disk changes when viewing its info(and havent made any changes to the HD), sometimes its capacity grows up (i got a little HD) today it shows 37 gig available but yesterday it was less, anyway is this some kind of bug(on snow leopard)
- OS uses hard drive to store some of your RAM content and swaps when needed. You said you only had 2.5GB :)raf
- oh yes must be thati_was
- applications cache data too, which might have been emptied. But virtual ram can use a lotanimatedgif
