such a productive weekend.. churned hard the last 3 days and managed to deploy a raft of new features.. it was nice to release an update that wasnt just bug fixing..
big ticket items were
Midi controllable - you can now play chopgrid like a sampler
Drag and Drop - drag audio directly onto the grid for slicing
Shape splines - real time masking of slices as different drums
Improved export options and stem bouncing out of the DROM machine
and made a sequenced ADSR VCA combo module..

lust so hard after this but dont have the $7500 .
so i have decided to just do it the cheaper way, and literally just buy each module as they come up and then build it myself..
have a bunch of it already anyway.. but yep, slow burn- I haaaaaaaaate the font lolprophetone

Recent review of the release... (tickles my dickles to read this kinda stuff)
"Precision electro stalwarts Bass Agenda return with R.I.O.T—Kill The Algorithm, an eight-track remix package steeped in cyberpunk aesthetics. Its vocodered paranoia warnings of machine ascendancy echo the futures imagined by William Gibson and Neal Stephenson, where technology, surveillance and corporate power reshape the human condition. It’s familiar territory, but electro remains one of the genre’s most convincing soundtracks for these dystopian visions.
Production is razor-sharp throughout. Punchy 808s, ominous basslines and restless arpeggios lock into tightly wound sequences that generate a constant sense of mechanical momentum. Funk-inflected rhythms prevent the release from becoming austere, ensuring each remix remains as dancefloor-ready as it is atmospherically charged. The title track is reinforced by a series of consistently strong reinterpretations, with the Shawscape Renegade‘s remix proving particularly dope, adding extra drive without sacrificing the original’s icy tension. Elsewhere, the inclusion of “Private Tyranny” is a welcome bonus, and its accompanying remix is nothing short of wicked, extending the release’s dystopian narrative with equal force.
The influence of Anthony Rother is unmistakable, and perhaps these ideas could be pushed further than these familiar routine, but in the end Bass Agenda generally avoids simple imitation. Instead, here, they deliver a confident, expertly crafted collection that embraces electro’s cyberpunk heritage while sounding serious, forceful and unmistakably grounded in contemporary tropes."

Using the Digitakt to sequence into mutantbrain ..
only problem i have now is the LXR has like up to 7 triggers so my Digitakt 1 only has 8 midi channels..first world problems i know

Getting a solid stream of new users .. a few a day..
Also just did a huge push over the weekend, have bumped it up to 1.1.0 release. Vst is now persistent across saves in your DAW, has orphan relinking, and even saves slices Incase the relinked file is gone foreverAlso did a bunch of cubase specific fixes ..
Side note, fucking cubase is a ballache.
Build a vst which works everywhere, no issue.. cubase tho.. oh no, we have to have special carve outs specifically for cubase- I know it’s only a few a day.. but for something with barely any promo at the moment .. Im chuffedautoflavour

Been wanting to get myself a set of decent wee desktop monitors. Reviews and recommendations were saying the Kanto Ora's or the Adam Audio D3V's.
Took advantage of Amazon no-hassle returns and bought both.
The Ora's are tiny but incredibly capable speakers, it is insane what they are able to pump out. I think they are more 'hifi' than the 'reference' speakers they call themselves. Pronounced bass and quite muddy in the middle, I thought it almost sounded like they were playing through a tube.
Had read that getting the matching sub opens them up a bit but it was the detail in hihats or percussion that I felt was just lacking.
The ora's are beautifully minimal speakers.
I do however think I was a little spoiled because I'd already spend a few hours with the D3V's which are hands down the clearest audio I have ever heard. Those ribbon tweeters are incredible.
The sound is beautifully flat like a monitor/reference speaker should be. They bass is punchy and accurate - each speaker has a 3.5" woofer and 2x3" passive radiators that thump in and out.
I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone.
They arent the prettiest of speakers, look more like sh*tty computer speakers from the 90s. But here performance wins over looks.
Next on the list is probably a 8" sub to take away some of the really low duties away from these speakers, not that they are not capable, just want some floor movement.

I have this little itty-bitty Universal Audio Arrow... the model before the Apollo... and then I run an analog mixer into.
I was thinking of getting this to replace the interface and mixer... although I really like UA products... it's just that the Apollo is not cheap, but I don't have a ton of gear, just a synth, a drum machine and some old fx I don't use anymore.
