Why do you even give a damn after all these years? They are both adults who know what they are doing, so just let 'em do whatever they like....

your apparent mate is a spineless bell end.
He should have the decency to consult you first, not because she's your property, or any of that bros before hoes shit, but purely out of respect.
He clearly isn't a very good mate.

Get into a fists fight with your buddy. Fighting is the only key. You guys will laugh afterward, spitting blood, sitting on the sidewalk.

Whatever you do, make sure you don't handle it like a Man.

/girl perspective alert/
So, my mother always taught me that how you are in one area of your life is how you are...you can't section yourself off and be one thing to some and something else to others.
...with that philosophy in mind, your friend doesn't respect women, why would he respect you? He has no integrity or depth. He's not a friend.

3 years is enough time. Of course feelings can still be there, but you should be putting her out of your mind after all that time.
As for the friend: If he never told you about it (and, at this point in his life, he should know what "it" is, especially with the number of women he's allegedly dated), then he's not really one of your best friends. Wait a while and see if he clues in. Ask him about it one day (in an indifferent way) if you two do hang out, and see what he says. If there's some good reason behind it, you'll have to decide if you want to continue to stick with him. Otherwise, leave him behind. It's disrespectful for him to date someone he knows you really liked without at least bringing it up with you first. Not to ask permission, but to let you know.

you guys are all chatting SHIT!!! Dude, you need to confront your friend and if he is boning your ex, then you need to punch his fucking lights out! 1 or 10 fucking years, that shit is disrespectul and needs to be quashed. All that be the bigger man shit, is fag talk.
Point blank, good friends do NOT do this, and so should be treated as enemies.
