the more time these parents spend with their kids, the less likely that you'll get robbed by him in a few years for drug money. they're helping you really. :)
- Greedo0
well, as a parent, your disposable income goes down by a lot, as you'll have to spend it on all sorts of dumb shit like clothes, food, health care, daycare, etc, all of which brings in revenue for the federales in one way or another. i SHOULD be getting tax breaks, because, just like a small business, i'm spreading my money around real good. not like you singles sitting on top your mighty piles of gold. i'm creating jobs while you're getting drunk with your xbox.
- we still spend our money, man...
c'monPonyBoy - you don't get a break cuz you spend your money else where... that makes no sensePonyBoy
- you're spending your money on Xbox which is MADE IN CHINA, i'm spending it on good old USA daycareGreedo
- my wife works at a daycare... all their toys come from china.bjladams
- and what makes you think I have all this money?? hehe... I know you're talking about boz / xbox...PonyBoy
- ... but I'm not exactly loaded. :)PonyBoy
- we still spend our money, man...

"and the quality of life for these kids will help determine the q of life for you when your old"
—bjladams... from a note up above
that's a humorous point... w/some truth to it... ... but I kind of always thought it was the child's responsibility to take care of their parents in their old age... ... another thing that seems to be happening a hell of a lot less these days...
... dead-beats all around.
- but there's a lot of people with no kids who will need taking care of too- someone elses kids will be taking care of thembjladams
- while being paid... yes?PonyBoy
- i get your point 'be nice now so they'll be nice later'... but it's kinda silly... cuz it should be natural to take care of our eldersPonyBoy
- we help take care of our elderly neighbors with no kids- we dont get paid- but it's teaching our kids good thingsbjladams

drgz has a point.
- Yeah, drgz is right.

@ponyboy
i was more alluding to the thought that they'll be running the country in years to come, and will be making governing decisions partially based on their life experiences... but this has perhaps gotten way off the subject and i'm suppose to be out the door now to take the kids downtown. (without leaving any work on anyone elses plate btw)

So, I guess this is the best we can do on a Friday...
- To be fair, most people have gone home to their kids.moniker

I find it astounding that on a forum like this where you would expect the IQ level to be fairly high, people are trying to argue a point but are actually backing up the apposing argument.
The self righteous martyrdom of some of the comments on here are bordering on that of a recovering alcoholic!
To those parents on here (granted its only a few) that think everyone should treat them differently because the CHOSE to have kids...
Congrats, now GTFO!
- hopefully you'll have a kid 1 day and you will look back like most parents and say, "man I was a dumb fuck"moldero
- dont be bitter because your not there yet man, you'll get there. having kids is awesome, hopefully you could experience it for yourself one daymoldero
- for yourself one daymoldero
- I'll have to agree to disagree but thanks!Sneakybadger2

what drgz said.

@ponyboy and @bjladams:
What I'm saying is, helping families will eventually benefit everyone.
- +moldero
- that's part of that 'it takes a village' attitude though... if your parents raise you properly - you will treat your fellow human...PonyBoy
- ... like you want to be treatedPonyBoy
- some dont give a crap about anyone but themselves, like republicans.moldero
- now we're just going in circles...monospaced
- not all arguments end :(PonyBoy
- yeah.. end of thread.moldero
- i didnt disagree with you... i'm still trying to find my kids though...we really are going downtown.bjladams
- it doesn't REQUIRE a village, PB, it just turns out better that waylocustsloth
- dude... human nature is to come together / help / take care of each other... love your neighbor as yourself...PonyBoy
- ... totally agree w/you guys that as a whole we do better when we all come together on certain things...PonyBoy
- ... so... after a little extra thought... I will...
... slightly... concede.PonyBoy - :OPonyBoy

- stoplying0
Everybody's working for the weekend
- moldero0
less QBN at work = less working on the weekends.
Just an idea.
- kona0
having kids IS a full-time job boz
what do you think us fathers do on the weekends when you're working from home wearing a pair of boxers, torn up mustard stained wife beater and farting like a mule?
we're knee deep in baby crap trying our best to keep our kids out of the toilet and away from our weed.
so go ahead, complain about your 9 hour work days. lol.
- +moldero
- pussies man im tellin ya.moldero
- haha.kona
- the point made is that's not our problem. It's yours and you don't deserve a break in life for something you chose (for good or bad).Boz
- or bad)Boz
- maybe your boss just doesn't like you. ever thought of that? :)kona
- again..no boss.. it's project managers and different people at agencies.. people without kids have respect for my time.Boz
- while those with the kids, rush, try to get stuff done as soon as possible presenting it as deadline, so they have fun with their kids, while I'm not sleeping 2 nights in a row.. That's what the problem is.Boz
- their kids, while I'm not sleeping 2 nights in a row only for me to find out that deadline was not pressing but it didn't work with their schedule.. That's what the problem is.Boz
- their schedule.. That's what the problem is.Boz
- Boz we all went though that shit, sucks yeah, but its no biggie, look at it this way, you get your turn once you get a little squirt running around.moldero
- running aroundmoldero
- DrBombay0
Start a hardcore drug habit and give it the nickname "My Kids".
- DrBombay0
People that have kids do have a ton more excuses for leaving early or coming in late. Don't wanna go to work today? "My kid is sick". No one will say shit, except the childless and fuck them because no one gives a fuck what they think, apparently.
It is a perk for putting up with tons of bullshit from the little rugrats.
- a child's sickness is a 'perk' to you... ... nicePonyBoy
- to rick kids are like dogs. put some food in front of them and they should be good for a day. no biggie.kona
- A long walk was taken to get to these assumptions you fucking half-wits.DrBombay
- lol... too easyPonyBoy
- same long walk you take w/other folks words quite often, you big babyPonyBoy
- You spend more time on this site than anyone. What a waste.DrBombay
- This smug satisfaction you get from not even having a point is pathetic.DrBombay
- You obviously don't believe that I think sick kids are perks. But say it anyway. At least have a point, pothead.DrBombay
- *sniffPonyBoy
- Wow, you will never grow up Kevin, the pot has stunted your emotional growth, You still get a kick out of being a twat on the internet.DrBombay
- the internet. Sad little bitch.DrBombay
- was Kevin sniffing pot?neowe
- and you still take the internet too seriouslyPonyBoy
- and I still like you... what's wrong with me? you are a big baby though... and you misconstrue words daily.PonyBoy

I work on average 11 hours a day, including weekends. And I'm a parent.
Being a parent is by no means and automatic badge of wisdom or maturity, or a "get out of work pass."
But whining about being overworked when you don't have a child, and thinking you know something about life that parents don't, is pretty much a badge of idiocy.
- I have to disagreemonospaced
- with the last part, that ismonospaced
