I remember an exercise where we were given 2 covers of books/magazines in total different styles and we had to set the text of the covers in the style of the other.
it's an exercise for finding/recognizing fonts and precise observation, I learned a lot out of this exercise. the covers I had were some like this:- that’s a good onepressplay

1928This book is excellent, particularly keeping in mind the history of the times and the author / his subsequent remarks *against* the New Typography. (So don't ignore the Preface.) Unfortunately there are some noticeable mistakes in the book; uncorrected page references, even an entire paragraph duplicated.
