When did Apple and Microsoft start sucking each other off??? Next iPhone will support Silverlight!

Finally... they improved it so that new pages open in a new tab instead of a new window.

So it crashes twice a day, and it also makes my cursor disappear quite often which forces me to quit and reopen.

Seriously, is anyone else having major problems with Safari? I'm getting waaaay too many spinning beach balls, browser crashes, and pages taking forever to load. The few people I've discussed it with are having these same problems.
I'm tired of switching my bookmarks back and forth between browsers, so I've put up with it for a few weeks. I've been holding out for an update from apple, but I'm skeptical that it's coming soon enough.

nb, i've been having the exact same issues. the internet used to be awesome like 2 or 3 years ago. now it seems like we're going backwards. i've never experienced so many crashes and hangups. everything is slow slow slow. Flash is the worst in Safari. anytime there's a video on a site's home page, it'll give me the spinning ball for 20 seconds.
And Safari's new address bar gives way too much information as you're typing the first few letters in. if i want to go to bbc.co.uk and i start typing in "bb", it will show a list of everything i've looked at with "bb" in it (like bbc - girl gets slammed by bbc (big black cock)) - i don't want anybody seeing that if they're using my computer. doesn't seem like there's a way to turn that off. they think they're being helpful, but it's very intrusive.

PIZZA, even then, before i used to be able to just type in "bbc" and hit enter into my address bar and it would take me directly to the bbc home page. now if i type in "bbc" and hit enter it takes me to whatever site i had previously visited that contained "bbc" in it. the functionality changed. private browsing may fix this, although having passwords stored & cookies can be valuable.

Safari is quickly becoming useless. It's got features I've grown accustomed to, so when I use Firefox, I hate that it doesn't do what Safari does. But if the fucker is going to crash 8 times a day, pinwheel with every click, and just generally be a time waster, what's the point?
