not washing jeans is a new concept to me. maybe i'll try it? seems like you can develop a hell of a rash if you aren't washing your clothing, or develop a good environment for some ill necrotizing fasciitis.
wish i could join in the movement but...

"Sure, overnight freezing might kill most of the bacteria. But if some remain, they'd likely be able to recolonize the denim quickly after it warmed back up. That's because the dirt and dead skin cells present in the jeans — which serve as the bacteria's substrate — are left entirely intact by freezing."
I believe you can throw your jeans in the dryer (or put it out in the sun) and it would kill 99% bacteria. but ...that's just my thoughts as a clean freak.

Plz people - stop wearing jeans. Be brave, be tight, be alright. Goodnight.

I just bought a pair of really dark indigo gstar jeans, I think the lot of you are insane for not washing your pants but I will try it for the next six months.
I'll know it's a bad idea when I start losing friends and/or clients.

Also, some of you will think this is stupid, some of you will cry with me. I had to get my original pair of Nudie Slim Jim Dry Japan jeans fixed up at the cleaners; needed a knee patch. I didn't really wear them much anymore but as you can see in the photo they were really broken in nicely. Wore these for 16 months before ever washing with water, wore them in Iceland, Ireland, France and Italy and a few US vacations.
The tailor gave them to another customer by mistake. Said they'd wait 30 days to see if they were returned, or give me credit or replace them. On the upside, I'm getting a new pair of Nudies and gave her the option of getting me some new raw ones, or a more expensive pair that were already washed and broken in. So it's a total surprise to see what I'll get.
What sucks, though, is that I was going to send the old ones to Ruedi Karrer, founder of The Jeans Museum in Sweden. That would have been cool. But who knows if I'll ever get them back.
