whereRI. i still have all the ingredients at home from this diet. i did it about a year ago and shed lbs like crazy. after the 10 days i felt like a million bucks. yeah the first few days are hard because you're hungry but eventually my body adjusted. don't overdue the cayenne pepper though, i put in too much and it felt like i was swallowing fire.
good luck. happy shitting your brains out.

@sea_sea:
on these days i drink coffee to kill the appetite and keep my energy up, but switch off with vitamin water or gatorade for some calories and to keep the coffee from upsetting my stomach. i keep soup in my desk for when i get really hungry. campbells has this natural selects thing that's a giant can with only 100 calories and always makes me full. that helps so you're not feeling like you're being cheated out of anything... typically these days will add up to around 500 calories.
your body spends 1200 calories a day just being alive and you burn 550 while sleeping, so you're losing weight the whole time without ever feeling deprived.
i've been doing this since january and i've already lost all the weight i gained in college... and without ever feeling deprived or having to go to the gym

words of advice- don't fart on the master cleanse.
- scarabin0
you also rid your body of any solids while on a liquid fast, so you're super slim and feeling like a million bucks the next day... which helps you make better food choices
- d_rek0
Yeah this idea that your body needs to be 'cleansed' is fucking retarded. You should really get a professional opinion if you're going to try something like this. And by professional I mean an M.D. - not you're neighborhood herbalist or holistic fake.
I really don't want to get started on why this is bad for you. It just is.
- I'm sorry you feel that way, but you are sorely misled if you believe cleansing is "retarded."********

@d_rek
i think most people don't need a cleanse, but you see this guy? he hasn't missed a meal in years. he's so fucking backed up if he quit eating he would still shit for weeks... this person badly needs to flush out all that shit, which is all bacteria and toxins. this is a sad truth for a lot of people
- d_rek0
The sad truth is 'cleansing' is a poor substitute for what a healthy diet and regular exercise can do for you. Your body doesn't readily store fecal matter, toxins, bacteria and the like... if it did you would be long dead before you got anywhere near that fat.

Where on earth do lemons and cayenne pepper and maple syrup naturally occur together? Nowhere. Who made this shit up?
- in America. lolismith
- Point I am making is you could probably get the same results eating grass and tree bark for 2 weeks.DrBombay
- i think the liquid used is arbitrary, really.scarabin
- lemon and pepper agitate, sea salt flushes, maple syrup is to feed you.horton

No way, i never thought I would see this on here. just did this last week. Went 7 days and then had a job interview over lunch and ate something to not look crazy.
I used it as a platform for a lifestyle change. Quit some bad habbits, start eating healthier and lose some weight. Felt so good I started doing push ups and sit ups again.

Complete and utter bullshit. Can't believe people still foolishly subject themselves to this.
Here's a tip: Eat 7, balanced, small meals throughout the day. Limit your carbs. Keep them complex. Keep your protein intake up. Drink a lot of liquid.
That. Is. It.
"Eat like a horse" are the words to live by.

The master cleanse aka the Beyonce diet works. You lose 5 pounds in water the first day. I think I lost 10 pounds total, but gain 5 pounds back.
I've thought about trying it again, since I have all the materials still. You should get "organic" lemons and grade "b" molasses. However I was only able to do it for 10 days. I think the goal is supposed to be 14-30 days. i forget its been a long time

21st century and people still believe this shit?
And i wonder how many of you are making fun of people going to church every Sunday...
Your body can regulate yourself as long as you provide it a variety. Too much of anything is never good. Thus too much of fast food is bad - even though one is totally fine, too much of salad is bad but salad from time to time is ok, too much of meat is bad but meat from time to time is ok. Just lead a balance life and you won't need this nonsense.
Then again if you feel it's helping you then by any means go for it (though it won't stop me from laughing behind your back).
- d_rek0
whatsup,
It doesn't 'work' at all. It is merely your body responding to a sudden halt of incoming food substances - many of which are important to regulate your bodies natural functions on a daily basis. The reason you 'lose' any weight at all is because your body responds the way it was meant to - by eating itself. This is not, in your wildest dreams, healthy in any way/shape/form.
The best thing you could do for your body is to change up your diet to a regular intake of healthy vegetables, lean protein filled meats and complex carbs and for FUCKS SAKE START FUCKING EXERCISING. THAT'S THE KEY. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? YOU NEED TO EXERCISE!!
- using excess fat stores is not unhealthy, it's what it's there for. you wanna collect every calorie you eat until you're corpulent?scarabin
- scarabin0
its success depends on your goal, you can't say it isn't good for anything, because it does have benefits
but yes, ideally you should eat healthy anyway
- ismith0
I don't know what all you people are on... there are tons of different ways to "eat right"... the body eventually adapts to one over years and years, generations, etc. People all have different metabolisms, livers, etc. "Ideal" function is different across cultures and even individuals. Jerking whatever system you're used to can sometimes be an excellent way to find something better for your body. If something like this makes you feel better than keep it up! Otherwise it probably just means that your body doesn't react the same way and you should be doing something else. Simple.
- When I try to eat what all my healthy friends eat, I feel like shit. Metabolism got all funky too.ismith
- I'm interested though because I think a detox might prepare my body better for a 'normal' healthy dietismith
- it does, and is a real eyeopener. it makes you aware of how good your body feels without all the junk we put in it. do it! :)sea_sea

Also, kind of in response to d_rek, if your body is using stored fat then that can be very good for your body. If you starve yourself then it will use muscle tissue instead, which is obviously very bad. I think the point behind things like this is that it gives you the minimum nutrients needed for your body to use the adipose tissue and leave muscles intact. People struggle with it immediately because it's obviously a change, and people who have too much of a struggle probably just don't fit to the general guidelines of the diet or whatever– so either they aren't doing it right or their body simply refuses to work with it.
