So, I started a strict detox today.
lemon diet thing, i figured after years of abuse my body needs to be cleansed.diet consists of lemon and natural syrup and cayenne powder. and salt water to err cleanse the colon.
im fuckin starving and its only been a day, i plan to do it for 3 days but i dunno if i can take another day.
anyone ever tried this madness?

What do you normally subject your body to on a daily/weekly basis that would create a need for this detox?
- just the usual, lots of booze and cigarettes n the occasional um, naughty stuff but i figured it needed a break********

I did this thing. It actually gets easier after the 3rd day to not eat. You can do it for 10 days or something. Then you start back up with vegetable soup and such.
- listen to the capn, start back on solids slow...robotron3k

my wife has done it a couple times. and a lot longer; 2 weeks end goal, think she broke at 10 days. so quit your whining.

and yeah as capn said, 3 days is just the hump... have known many to do it and everyone says after 3 your body stops freaking out and it gets a lot easier.

so in order to cleanse your body you decided to deprive it of essential nutrients and energy? That makes no sense to me, your body is pretty good at fixing itself; all you need to do is give it the proper materials. I've never heard of anyone getting better by going on a hunger strike =)

My ex-gf would do this a few times a year for at least 10-12 days at a time. She always had problems for the first few days but around days 7-10 she felt amazing. I had never seen her so productive and energetic. It was really strange. She was up at like 5:30am and went non-stop all day and felt great.
After seeing her do it I went ahead and started my own cleanse. I lasted 4 days, which I guess isn't bad, but man did I feel like CRAP!
A tip: Lime juice can be used and, for me, just tasted better and was a bit easier to drink... it wasn't as sour as lemon juice.
I also used molasses instead of maple syrup because I tend to have blood sugar issues.

Just get a colonic. Not eating is pretty bad for your body, so while it cleans it out, it also can slow down your metabolism if you do it for a while (like 10 days). Or do a freeze juice and veggies detox so your body is getting something. That's my take, but I'm not at expert at all.

i did the master cleanse for 20 days last january.
after a few days you get over the whole food thing. you watch people eat and obsess over what they're going to eat next, and it all becomes ludicrous. people act like drug fiends over that shit.
you'll lose weight, but you'll gain it back.
i really can't say whether it removed "poisons" from me or not, but the tar that starts coming out of your ass a few days in smells so foul it will make you think it is, that's for damn sure

whereRI, I did this about a year ago. the first day i swear i felt i was going to faint, so i cheated, well kinda.. i cooked up some veggies and put them all in the blender and turned it into a liquid and i ate that slowly and it was amazing! lol the whole point of this cleanse is to cleanse your liver. so as long as you have no solid food you can pretty much drink anything, meaning natural juices and broths. nothing out of a can!! your giving your liver a break and on the 3rd day of all liquid diet your liver releases all those toxins. i seriously never felt better, clearer with so much energy! stay strong!!
and i wanted to eat everything in sight too!! lol that's just your old habits rebelling.

A detox where you don't eat doesn't make any sense to me. I've done this one a couple of times, forced by the missus of course, but feel great afterwards.
