I used to have them..especially in traffic jams..I wanted to get out but of course I couldn't...( I was so fucking stressed at that time) negative thoughts can play nasty tricks with you mind.

have since I was a kid. I've learned to manage them w/out meds.

Sadly yes I do. What makes it bad is I have them at the worst times possible... like client meetings and when I'm talking to hot chicks. Its not like I have a problem with those situations... its just I start to feel anxious at the thought of having anxiety attacks in those situations... which actually leads to mild anxiety attacks.
So I get anxiety attacks when I worry about getting anxiety attacks... how fucked is that?
I never had them before... I think my first real attack was in one of my first client meetings as a freelancer, I had no idea what it was. Ever since then I freak out at the thought of it happening again. Its lame, its the worst feeling ever and it pisses me off so much.

the majority of my mates (myself included) have partied a little too hard over the years - I can't help thinking that this has to have a negative effect our generation's mental health.
- i think its overstated really.studderine
- they smoked just as much pot and did just as much drugs in the 60s, 70s and 80s as now.studderine
- THC count a lot higher tho now in skunk than in the 60s etc & the shit that goes in pills these days surely cant be good for ya.jay_jay

it's very common in creative people.
- yeah I heard this as well..I wonder why?sureshot
- I also heard that, it's cause we are thinkers I guessjay_jay
- < yes i think it is because we already analyze, and supposedly creative people use a portion of their brain that also causes these problems? so i have heard.nicole_marie

now that we've established that we all suffer from anxiety, who wants to admit to multiple personality disorder?

I like to read this poem for inspiration & when I'm feeling negative:
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but think you can't
It's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you've lost,
For out in the world we find
Success being with a fellow's will;
It's all in the state of mind.If you think you're outclassed, you are:
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the one who thinks he can.- i'm sorry, but this bullshit will only lead to more anxietywrong

Let me tell you something: I'm pretty sure I used to, and it stopped when I gave up coffee and caffeine. I mean, I still have moments where I get stressed about work or various issues in life like anyone else does, but i find that it doesn't totally consume me like it used to.
I feel much more calm now, less likely to mentally flip out about something and take something too seriously.

I did 1 pill a night when out clubbing, but that was mixed with other drugs over the weekend, like Acid, smoking, and the situation was made worse because I was living in the same dorm as the local college drug dealer. I have not done any drugs for the past 13 years now, and I'm allot better for it, but I still get the odd attack if I have a heavy weekend drinking, or even if I over do it with working hours which cannot be helped I know but it's a real pain. I go home really tied and I'm Paranoid for no bloody reason and I just think to myself, WTF is this all about, I have no reason to fill like this.

In fact, the only thing I get really worked up over is having a bad night in COD4 multiplayer.

apparently long-term depression following heavy MDMA use has no conclusive evidence one way or the other.
http://www.thesite.org/drinkandd…
as anyone who uses the drug knows though, you may experience e-hangovers or "suicide tuesdays". i go through that shit about every other time i roll. i'll feel generally worthless and second-guess every decision i make, and throw my hands up at the futility of it all... that clears up in 3-10 days depending on how hard i pushed myself the night i rolled and the level of care i give to recovery.

It's comforting and uplifting that so many people have similar situations. Mine started happening about 2 years ago (around the age of 20). Went to the doctor and he said that there was nothing wrong with me and to try not to drink coffee - good help that was!
So I asked around some friends, every one of them except one sympathised but couldn't empathise. One mate who knew what I was going through could diagnose what was wrong straight away and share how horrible the situations are. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
As mentioned above I get them when I think about getting them - especially in client meetings, or at the worst times possible to get them.
However, they're at their absolute worst when I'm hungover. The more hungover the worse my hangxiety is (hangover + anxiety). I find I'm really agitated, can't sit/stand still, feel like I'm suffering from vertigo, lightheadedness, blurry vision, stumbling with my talking etc. It's the worst.
During the other days it's pretty much gone due to eating a lot of protein (chicken + meat) and low carb/sugary meals. Also exercising makes such a difference.
