Printed Monocle (one of the best in the world), the site could look a little bit better, but the production values are mazing, great high quality video and the contents are superb...
my vote goes for Monocle...

Good magazine +1 for Pay what you want + 100% goes to non profit. I love the Monocle podcast and video. The Monocle site could be better as stated above though.

I like monocle because its a decent read. Well rounded. Decent design. I like that it presents a global perspective and it's not flashy and pretentious...well not too bad anyways.
Good is good too, love the design although seems like the whole infographics things has ran its course. Sometimes good makes me feel a little weird, like if I read it and get into it I'm part of the new special group who "get it" and I'm not sure I'm totally ready for, well, whatever "it" might be.
Funny story, one day my creative director told me how lame monocle was and that it would never last. Not sure where he was coming from but I just told him I like to read the articles and left it there.

On a very superficial/surface level Monocle slaughters Good, but when I do more than just flip through a copy I find that Monocle is a bit difficult to read as there's just so much to focus on and absorb.. I also find the writing a bit shallow...
In terms of their websites, I also find Monocle a zillion times better than Good..

Both great publications, but it's a bit like comparing apples and oranges, not totally comparable.

monocle a good magazine? it's tosh. i thought it was a chris morris parody when i first picked it up! AND for a magazine that's based in London it rated Zurich! ZURICH! of all places the best city in the world...London didn't even make the list AND another thing...anyone seen the monocle shop in marylebone? tyler brule makes me want to throw up and then kill myself.

well, being good in publishing doesn't mean being good in retail. not neccessarily. I haven't seen the shop and I find the whole idea of selling premium goods under the magazine name of this age and statue is a bit risky (or wishful). But I like Monocle for the spectre of its coverage, its stock (though I've heard people saying that "black doesn't look good on it"), its typography ("lettersetting sucks big time", said those), its volume. I pay 12 euros for it and I keep myself at least one week busy reading it over a lunch.
I don't know Good, though. Would buy it, if I see it on a shelf now.

- i wonder whether people are zombies but the whole winkreative forecast = monocle is just too sickly and painfully obvious. it's just an aspirational sales pitch to big money clients. and people pay for it!christoff
