It was pretty good. I think they should give Maher a show on regular cable again.
- why? .. HBO gets away with a lot more than regular cableRamanisky2

Another one that points out all of the tired canards in the movie...

Just saw it the other night, I loved it!
wow..He is not very sensitive when asking questions on a few opportunities, you could be a bit more considerate and still get the point across, at least when the interviewed is being helpful and willing to talk about their own beliefs.
but as a documentary in general, I would recommend it for anyone that is open to doubt, if you really religious you are most likely to have a bad time.

Religulous wasn't that good. Just another Bill Maher ego trip. He's one of those few individuals out there who can pull off being a really nice and great guy, but at the same time be a completely condescending cunt-waffle.
If I ever met him, I would love to punch him in his face.

That movie shouldn't scare the crap out of you - kids are all sinners - BORN SINFUL AND OF A WICKED NATURE. ONLY BY ADMITTING THEIR BASAL, FILTHY SINS CAN THEY HOPE TO BE SAVED FROM AN ETERNITY IN THE FURIOUS FIERY PITS OF HELL. BORN FLAWED AND INSTRUCTED TO BECOME WELL - HELL BRIMS OVER WITH EVIL CHILDREN THAT DIDN'T MAKE AMENDS AND COME TO THE LORD, INCLUDING ALL THOSE KIDS THAT GOT CANCER AND DIED BECAUSE THEY DIDNT PRAY ENOUGH.
(sings - "Our god is an awesome god.....").

Oh sorry, that was a bit harsh, I apologise to any of the liberal christians who chose to interpret the bible differently from these people, in line with the common sense morality of today, rather than a few hundred years ago. You just pick and choose which bits you want to do, because I understand that doing it all is even crazy to you, but doing nothing means you lose your sense of culture and family history. Wouldn't want you to have to feel awkward in front of you peers. As you were.
- you feeling ok, man? you need to sit down? how about a soda?7point34
- This rant gets a +1 from me, that's for sure.********

Guy who doesn't know how to read code which is what the bible is...
Lame jokes, same jokes... who will waste their money on this?
He's a Gnostic? you sure? for someone who is Gnostic wouldn't that mean he read the Gospel of Thomas (Jesus) Torah etc...

"I apologise to any of the liberal christians who chose to interpret the bible differently from these people..."
I like how you slap the label "liberal christians" on anyone who doesn't believe in line with this very small Christian extremist group. It just shows how little you actually know about true Christianity.

my money is on the whacko christians, they have better aim, while the muslim whackos have more guns.
- no one has better guns than christians.. they make themMeeklo
- mikotondria30
ahem - I know exactly what I meant by the phrase 'liberal christians', and I used the term with some precision. It reveals nothing of my knowledge of 'true' Christianity to use it, sir, as well you know.
- designbot0
^It reveals much about your knowledge on Christianity, because you are implying that what this extremist group believes is actually accurate.

I for one, am not Christian. Thank you and good night.
- mikotondria30
go on then, tell me, for the sake of the viewers at home, how the evangelicals in that movie aren't being "actually accurate".. ?
- designbot0
Well, it's been awhile since I saw the film....off the top of my head I can tell you that bringing a cardboard cutout of the president into a church and have kids kneel down and pray to and lay hands on it is not what I would consider normal or Biblically accurate.

It's been a long time since I saw this film as well, but I do remember that sweet South American dude (or where ever he was from), that is convinced he is the Messiah. He has a 'temple/church' that's got an early 80's movie theater architectural vibe going on.
Entertainment value of that fella = high
