The funny thing about all this shooting business is that we've been condemning these muslims for acting out violently upon their political thoughts. Then we get a shooter who acts upon his own political views and shoots up a neighborhood. Now we're no better than these so-called "terrorists." Except their more clever in the weapons they use.

hey better since im deeply opposed to the idea of healthcare as a right and think of it as a cancer on society im curious on what logic you claim it as a right? I also think peopel have no idea what they claim to be a right when being tossed about. I think we have discussed this before when u said rights dont exist unless are democratically voted to be a right. But curious if thats the only case in healthcare. You guys miss the point. I'm not here to redebate every last issue and have no desire to. If you want to support returning to the Gold Standard or, I dunno, go attend a Civil War reenactment on the weekend, more power to ya.
My point was the hysterical tone out there, and the throwing around of words like Marxist to describe the current government which are completely idiotic. Along with all this violent imagery and "water the tree of liberty" crap.
If you believe in the need for revolution, then you should be prepared for acts of violence and take responsibility for them. People in every revolution, from French to Cuban, were prepared to do so. But you can't have it both ways, and on one hand throw out this revolutionary, over the top rhetoric while at the same time say it has no effect on people. Man up and take responsibility for your own actions, fair enough isn't it?

what's the difference whether money is backed by gold or gov't power? gold is another fiction, you can't eat it, you can't really do much at all with it, people just agreed that it's a pretty shiny metal and i'll give you six chickens for a bit of it.

I'm a tad confused by something I see deathboy repeating from time to time. You seem to suggest that health care is not a right.
While you are correct that it is not a codified right in the Constitution, there are many examples of national, state and local gov't making rights for its citizens.
As far as I am concerned, good health should be a right. And the only way to achieve that is through good health care.
