Im' watching Rand Paul too. This makes my fucking skin crawl like I'm covered in ants.
This guy just said "We're in the middle of a debt crisis." No shit! These Republicans obviously had no plan to get us out of the debt crisis that THEY started with the previous administration, and now because people think Obama was going to solve the problem in a year. So they all get to take advantage of the fact that these things don't get fixed overnight, and go right back to the types of policies that only helped put us in this position.
And another thing - if it's socialism, so be it - but this ideal that everyone is going to go out and be an entrepreneur and be successful is a dead end. It's impossible. The government must be there to help people that can't help themselves and don't have the ability to start businesses and do it all on their own. It's the most elitist fucking stance to act like government shouldn't be there to help people, because in the end when individuals fail they can just point the finger at them and say "it was your choice/direction/, and you failed."
