It's official: Republicans fail to win the Senate
Harry Reid wins in Nevada, 50-44
Chris Coons beats Christine O'Donnell by a huge margin
http://www.delawareonline.com/
Those were two races Republicans were almost guaranteed to win about half a year ago. And if they won them they could have won the Senate AND the House.
The Tea Party literally handed control of the Senate back to the Democrats.
- coons... expected... .. but I wasn't sure about Harry Reid - weird too.. cuz I thought Angle had that given all the press latelyPonyBoy

Losing Russ Feingold and Grayson really hurts...
- Feingold was a good Senator. Grayson...meh. What did he really do?ukit
- He was a fighter. Dems need more fighters.TheBlueOne
- True. On the other hand, the vast majority of Dem loses were all Blue Dogs.ukit
- feingold's loss is a pretty big deal... ... at least for the next couple of days (but in the end it'll more than likely hurt things)...PonyBoy

I am in complete awe at how stupid this country really is.
Out of 300 MILLION people in this country... consider the all of intellects, scientists, professors, scholars... How the hell do we even CONSIDER any of these borderline-retarded candidates for our LEADERS? Seriously, this is the best we have to offer? How embarrassing.

Yet SOME sense remains. O'Donnell, Palidino, and Angle all lost
- yeah, but the fact that these people were even CONSIDERED for the job boggles my mind.********

These elections have led me to believe that every candidate, henceforth, should be administered IQ tests in order to be considered for elected office, with the results made public.
At the beginning of every campaign, give each candidate about five (reputable) IQ tests, and calculate their average score. A low score won't disqualify you from running... but simply as a starting point, the citizens of this country should know, on paper, just how dim-witted some of these candidates are. Basic logic and reasoning testing... is that too much to ask? I do realize IQ tests aren't 100% reliable and don't reflect leadership attributes, but I think they'd provide some general insight as to how dense a lot of these candidates actually are... because this country seems to have a huge problem with voters who are unable to distinguish between a person of intellect and a rottweiler in heat.
I know you might say our friend Hitler had a high IQ, but I mean this as a starting point, not a hard-line deciding factor. You know, I can spend five minutes at the nearest bookstore and I'd be able to find someone who is infinitely sharper than an O'Donnell or an Angle, regardless if I agree with that person's social/fiscal views or not. Speaking of Angle, why doesn't she speak? As a PUBLIC SERVANT - one who represents the people, you should be OBLIGATED to grant every interview requested. This should be LAW. The people want to hear what you have to say, coward.
Why the fuck do we value salesmen more than intellectuals? Why do we want people who only know how to recite slogans and rhetoric, versus people who know how to solve complex problems? Are they not entertaining enough? Such low standards. What a fucking shame. The rest of the first world concurrently laughs and cringes at our idiocies.
Here's an lol cat.
- Sorry. Cliffs Notes version: LOL CATS RULE!********
- Serial Killers have great IQ you know... having high IQ doesnt make you logical.benfal99
- Yeah, that's why I mentioned Hitler. But we're assuming these candidates aren't, at the very least, psychopaths.********
- This would be something to test one's ability to use their mind for problem solving, and to gauge intelligence.********

Palin on Twitter:
"Very clear message to Pres Obama: we'll send our representatives to DC to stop your fundamental transformation of America. Enough is enough"
"As always, proud to be American! Thanks, Commonsense Constitutional Conservatives,u didn't sit down & shut up...u refudiated extreme left"
Has she said anything of substance...ever? Something that wasn't just a slogan? Anything?
