You guys forgot for a bit that this is a state law we are talking about, didn't ya?
- I didn't... ... and I know math didn't - you do realize we're in the 'thick' of it out here - yes? (me in AZ... math in CA)PonyBoy
- actually... tommy's in Tucson today - ground zero so-to-speakPonyBoy
- I consulted one of our staff attorneys and he said "the AG isn't responsible to read every state law that is passed"DrBombay
- So basically you guys are full of shit.DrBombay
- THEN HE SHOULDN'T COMMENT ON IT... FOR - FUCKS - SAKE... what is wrong with you?!!!PonyBoy
- How did you get to that conclusion Rick? If what you're saying is that Holder shouldn't have had to read it because he'smathinc
- Fed and this is state.. then why is he out denouncing it? Why is he saying that his team is going to review it's constitutionality?mathinc
- Besides Rick.. it's 10 pages. If he's going to comment on it.. read the 10 pages ffs. Why are you riding Holders nuts?mathinc
- His team reviewing it's constitutionality IS his job.DrBombay
- From what I read some guy asked him about it.DrBombay
- The article I posted two pages ago has the 'some guy's' name.. like that makes a fucking difference.mathinc
- It doesn't.DrBombay
- amazing********

Rick, you might not know this but the AZ law is exactly the same as the Fed law on immigration.. they decided to write it into state law BECAUSE the Feds weren't enforcing it and a state has a responsibility to protect it's state from illegal immigration.
You didn't know that, as obviously shown above, but you'll probably claim you did.. carry on. I thought you were leaving?
- i mentioned this in a note above... he openly ignored itPonyBoy
- Cause he had no idea.. his people say 'it's bad' and he pulls out his anger cannon in blind support.mathinc
- Your argument was holder didn't read the state law, correct? He isn't responsible for that.DrBombay
- Then he shouldn't have condemned it publicly for weeks. Right?mathinc
- thta's the point, dobs... he should just keep his mouth shut if he's got nothing useful to bring to the table.PonyBoy
- Yeah no other AG ever scopred political points before did they. You guys are naive.DrBombay
- ukit0
You know what guys...it's tough work to actually solve problems. Much easier to sit around and whine about it.
That's what I hear from conservatives mainly these days, whining.
- DrBombay0
Sure is quiet...
- sorry... i was on the phone w/EA sports and an agency working out so video game site details.PonyBoy

My Essay, titled 'Rick does the Backpedal'
'Your ignorance shines through daily around here, Love ya Tommy!'
'So you think he doesn't understand it. Probably one of the best lawyers in the World.'
'You people are fighting against the fact he hadnt read 10 pages but probably had a 10 hour meeting about it.'
'Man you have a hard on for the fact that he hasn't read it word for word.'
'I consulted one of our staff attorneys and he said "the AG isn't responsible to read every state law that is passed"'
Man you missed the point the whole time.. Holder opened the door to this, Holder questioned it's constitutionality (the law itself is a mirror of the Fed law on immigration), so he must have been talking about a States right to enforce the law that the Fed is ignoring. Or he could be talking about the ability for the police to racially profile (which is weird since this is a mirror of the Fed law, and actually this bill has even more protections against racial profiling..). But yet you're just trying to back pedal out of it acting like we didn't know this is a state law and therefore Holder didn't need to read it, thus our criticism was misplaced. Holder is completely in the wrong and doing a disservice to everyone by speaking on a law he knows nothing about. Go ahead and disagree with the law, but know something about it first. I'd be this pissed if it was a Democrat, Republican or Libertarian who pulled this bullshit. But you're not, you went and defended the actions tooth and nail, then when you found another angle ('oh it's not his responsibility to know about states law') you went with that.. which says a lot about your integrity and the homerism (http://www.urbandictionary.com... you show day in day out. Which is why I just can't post here anymore. I do really like you personally, we've had emails and been civil to each other but here I sat a whole half of a day fighting with someone who acts like a child when it comes to politics. I can debate a point and you just keep changing tactics, pick on my political choice of Libertarianism, call me an 'ignorant sack of shit' when grammatically I was right in my choice of words but ukit was actually wrong. You're just too one sided and it's a complete and total waste of time even having a different opinion than you do because you just keep swinging the hammer no matter what is put in front of you and frankly it's annoying, childish. So yeah man good luck I do hope you do well.. not get aids or die of cancer or any of the other dozen ill fates you've wished on people who also, don't agree with you.
- DrBombay0
You could have just conceded dude.

MathInc:
"Now the AG can't even read a 10 page bill before politically stating legal constitutional opinions on that bill..."---From the article---
"The concern I have about the law that they have passed is that I think it has the possibility of leading to racial profiling and putting a wedge between law enforcement and a community that would, in fact, be profiled," Holder said Sunday on NBC's "Meet The Press." "People in that community are less likely then to cooperate with people in law enforcement, less likely to share information, less likely to be witnesses in a case that law enforcement is trying to solve."Holder said Thursday he's asked a team of advisers from Justice and the Department of Homeland Security to review the law for him. He said he expects to issue a pronouncement on the Arizona law "relatively soon."
HE MADE NO "legal constitutional opinions on that bill..."
You idiotic fucking hillbilly.
- BattleAxe0
2.9 billion for roughly 500,000 "illegals" so about 5800 per person that the state is "providing"
where do you think "illegals" buy food, pay rent, fuel their cars , in their home country ?
you really buy into all that bullshit that they send all their money home lol
- mathinc0
'This weekend Mr. Holder told NBC's "Meet the Press" program that the Arizona law "has the possibility of leading to racial profiling." He had earlier called the law's passage "unfortunate," and questioned whether the law was unconstitutional because it tried to assume powers that may be reserved for the federal government.
Rep. Ted Poe, who had questioned Mr. Holder about the law, wondered how he could have those opinions if he hadn't yet read the legislation.
"It's hard for me to understand how you would have concerns about something being unconstitutional if you haven't even read the law," the Texas Republican told the attorney general.'
http://www.washingtontimes.com/n…
I don't need to call you stupid names. He had questioned it's constitutionality.. so the first article I posted didn't say it.. maybe you should use google next time. And stop calling people names.. it's childish.
- PonyBoy0
^^the the Fed law is unconstitutional?
- 'so' the fed law is unconstitutional?PonyBoy
- I am not certain that the 2 laws are the same. Googling it gets me CNSnews.com and shit.DrBombay
- And is also another GOP talking point. BTWDrBombay
- The ID portion you are prob right, the "reasonable suspicion" part prob not.DrBombay
- mathinc0
So first it was that 'he must have had a 10 hour meeting and you guys are idiots for assuming that he wouldn't know this bill, he's one of the best lawyers in the world'..
then we moved on to 'this is a state law and he shouldn't have to read it, you guys are idiots for not knowing that!!'
then you go ape shit calling me a 'idiotic fucking hillbilly' because the article I posted didn't say he questioned the constitutionality of it.. but he did.. so now you move on to the next thing..
'well is it unconstitutional? that's his job to find out! By golly that's his job!!'
Honestly where are you going to spin next?? One minute you're saying 'HE NEVER QUESTIONED THE CONSTITUTIONALITY OF THE BILL!!!'.. then you flip all the way to the other side of the coin to 'Well that's his job!'. Pony was right when he said you were a 'dancer'.. but he was wrong when he said you were a 'good dancer'
All of this to protect the Attorney General, because he's a Democrat.
I hate to call you names, but you're really dumb. Like.. really fucking dumb. And here I've wasted half a day bullshitting with you on something we should have been able to agree on.. 'If you're the attorney general, and you're going to say that a bill is possibly unconstitutional then you should read it.. especially when that bill is shorter than a comic book.' But nope we can't agree on that, Rick pitches a fit, changes angles 4 times to try and deny that simple conclusion. Fuck you're so dumb, and you go around being a prick to me even when you're wrong. Even when you're proven wrong without a shadow of a doubt, I'm a 'dumb redneck republican.' Then what's that make you? You can't even have a civil debate about politics without reducing yourself to name calling and belittling. No one else does that here. I might disagree with ukit or utopian but no one, not even JazX calls people names. I've been complicit in that regard at times but you're just out of control. You've lied to try and prove your points (when you said I supported the Iraq war, that I said something racist in the Katrina thread (even though I've never even posted in either of those threads), then when I prove it to you.. no apology). You're a child. A simple dumb child who's got a little grasp of what he believes and nothing or no one can challenge that belief of it's time to throw a temper tantrum and pound his little red blood filled fists into the table.
- He did nothing wrong, Tommy and you call me names all the time. You get all sour when you lose the argument and cry.DrBombay
- Like you have been doing in the past few posts. You lost the argument so you made it personal.DrBombay
- You should stick to sports arguments.DrBombay
- Also, it isn't a bill, it is a law. At least use the proper terminology when running your yap.DrBombay
- DrBombay0
In the last post where you rail on me about calling you names, you called me dumb, a prick, a child and a simple dumb child.
Way to prove your point, Tom. You can't even get through one post without contradicting yourself.

The notorious and formerly funny movie director Woody Allen is apparently frustrated with the cumbersome operations of American democracy too.
The one-time-father-now-husband-of-h... tells the Spanish-language magazine La Vanguardia that the United States' Democratic Smoker-in-Chief could accomplish a whole lot more from his White House if he didn't have so many disorderly, annoying people objecting, distracting and criticizing him all the time.
Such social messiness has been known to occur in functioning democracies, even cinematic ones, although less often on celebrity-strewn movie sets under the direction of a dictatorial director.
"It would be good...if (Obama) could be dictator for a few years because he could do a lot of good things quickly," Allen is quoted as saying.
Allen is also said to have said:
I am pleased with Obama. I think he is brilliant. The Republican Party should get out of his way and stop trying to hurt him.
With healthcare and the economy now fully fixed, no doubt one area in urgent need of sweeping Obama-style reforms would be targeting movie reviewers who write negatively about Hollywood. Or about its politician favorites.

Interesting election results tonight. Ron Paul's son wins in Kentucky, beating the candidate the Senate GOP leader McConnell was backing. Real Democrat Joe Sestak beats 80 year old Republica-crat Arlen Specter. Conservative Dem Blanche Lincoln gets pushed into a runoff election by a progressive challenger that she'll probably lose. Oh yea and in the PA house race, the Dem trounced the Republican candidate, in a district that voted for McCain.
Most interesting of all - more Democrats turning out than Republicans, even in primary elections within their own party.
The Republican tidal wave this fall may have been greatly exaggerated.

GOOD FUCKING BYE ARLEN SPECTER!
Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter's defeat at the hands of upstart Rep. Joe Sestak made him the second Senate incumbent to lose an intraparty battle in the 2010 elections -- the largest number since four incumbents fell in 1980.
Times, they are'a changin'....
