"Not sure what making money has to do with being a good leader."
—DrBombayWhat country are you living in? Last I checked we run on capitalism over here...
... if you don't understand 'business'... you have 'no business' running this country... or being a 'leeeeader'.
- The government isnt a for-profit business.DrBombay
- Profits are bad Pony!mathinc
- Wow, are you a fucking idiot.DrBombay
- PonyBoy, there are far too many examples of wealth not being aligned with good leadership skills.luckyorphan
- how well did Bush know business to stay in office 12+ yrs (Gov,Pres)BattleAxe

HOLY SHIT DUDE, WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU LIVING!!!!- Number one priority is to serve the public good. Profit at any cost is not a good model to follow.********

What do the conservatives agree with in the HCR reform bill? The insurance reforms? Nothing at all?
- How would the conservatives here done it differently?DrBombay
- I love loads of it... I really do... as do MOST conservatives... ... for the most part - it's just how it get's paid for and what gets paidPonyBoy
- for that many have a problem with. But as far as I can tell - things like pre-existing conditions etc... most pubs wanted those changes too.PonyBoy
- changes too.PonyBoy
- We would have done it with style, class and just little sparkle thrown in! And maybe used a keynote presentation, not that powerpoint shit!********
- I'd of used Flash for sure.PonyBoy
- Ohhh yes flash would be perfect!********
- im an independant. my belief is the taboo that increases costs. so more insurance is a problem for me********
- i would liek to see incetives reduced in businesses that provide insurance, state lines gone...********
- if a hospital has to advertise costs we're doing something right.********

btw... for those of you who have jobs and are at them right now yet you're face is buried in the QBN Politics thread (ahem... Rick... :) ... )...
... your ass would be outside upon my sidewalk in mere minutes if you were my employee...
... and that would be 'good business'. :)
- You have no idea my employment situation. You are a freelancer, put some pants on and stop smoking pot all dayDrBombay
- well if you worked for me I'd fire you too. then we'd go smoke a big blunt or something when i'm offeieio
- " You are a freelancer, put some pants on and stop smoking pot all day" LOLLOL762mm
- yourPonyBoy
- i'm wearing pants today!... and I just wrote up $2200 of easy business... pure prophet / profit for myself. :DPonyBoy
- How is your insurance?DrBombay
- shitty... non-existent even... but that has nothing to do w/me having a job or not.PonyBoy
- when I had that shitty gig up in Chicago - i had THE BEST insurance... but it wouldn't even cover my pre-exit/condit. for a year.PonyBoy
- year.PonyBoy
- BonSeff0
and if i was your client i would sue your freelancin' ass for billing me time you spend jerking off on said thread..
- but that's none of your business... you don't manage my time... now go get my coffee!PonyBoy
- You aren't an employer though, being a freelancer and running a company with employees is waaay different.DrBombay
- I'd hide a penis in your brochure, if you were my client of course.mathinc
- Maybe take a picture of a dookie and enlarge it so big it looked abstract...mathinc
- I'd rub my penis all over your new brochures before giving them to you.PonyBoy
- That's by choice, dobs... but I HAVE had employees in the past... on my payroll under my LLC.PonyBoy
- We should start a design firm Kev. ;)mathinc
- ... and I also keep a number of other freelancers in biznuss... as they do for me too...PonyBoy
- ... now... get back to wasting your bosses money... I'm sure there's something to read on the huffington post. ;)PonyBoy
- I wouldn't vote for you to be President because of that though.DrBombay
- BonSeff0
check out ponyboy, bragging about drumming up $2200 of business.. wow! epic!
- for a days worth of work... ;)PonyBoy
- what'd you do today besides blow your bosses dime on the Politics thread? :)PonyBoy
- oh, i'm sure.BonSeff
- It obviously is a big day.DrBombay
- Ahh see I love being able to eat what I kill. It's more fulfilling. $2,200 in a day, nice job Pony! Congrats.mathinc
- only takes a couple secs to fire off some smack, richy rich..BonSeff
- $2200 is the going rate for gangbangs nowadays.. pretty lucrativeBonSeff
- but those few minutes / seconds aren't yours to fire-off, poor-petey... that time is your employers... not yours.PonyBoy
- "Ahh see I love being able to eat what I kill." -- wow you are a massive douchebag.DrBombay
- I don't know how you jobbers do it, I'd be kind of scared spending as much time as you do on here. Oh well.mathinc
- Rick, it's a self-reliance thing. Sorry if how I described it doesn't appeal to your sensibilities.mathinc
- I've never hunted before if that makes you feel better about me. I have fished though.. not sure how you feel about that.mathinc
- Self reliance? It is called contracting. You rely on clients. You dont make money out of thin air.DrBombay
- The superiority vibe you give off is so unearned it is amazing.DrBombay
- I ran a business successfully for 10 years. I got tired of it. I didn't think it made me a better person. It is just how I made money.DrBombay
- I find my own work. How is that not self-reliance? You go to a place where projects are already there for you?mathinc
- NOTHING we do gets done unless it's us doing, dobs... we have NOBODY to rely on / fall on to get the job done.PonyBoy
- money.DrBombay
- you 'jobbers' however... can clock out and the real 'worry' falls on your employer.PonyBoy
- Superiority? maybe re-read what I wrote before you take it personally. I congratulated Kev, and acknowledged how good it feelsmathinc
- feels to land your own projects. $2,200 is pretty good for a day. Sorry if I offended you.mathinc
- "Rick, it's a self-reliance thing. Sorry if how I described it doesn't appeal to your sensibilities."DrBombay
- Yeah that didn't reek of superiority or anything, you smug fuck.DrBombay
- You called me a douchebag for saying that I like that 'I eat what I kill.. ' I was apologizing for the terms I used. Why are you taking thatmathinc
- that personally?mathinc
- ukit0
Hey Ponyboy don't get me wrong, you seem like a nice guy especially compared to some of the dickwads in this thread, and I'm sure you're doing well with your freelance biz, but where are you getting moral authority on this. I'll willing to bet 90% of us on this site have run a freelance business of some kind at some point in our career, and I know plenty including myself have done pretty well. I mean unless you are diving into a vault full of cash every morning like a bong-smoking version of Uncle Scrooge I'm not seeing the big difference here.
- I am a nice guy... thank you!
:DPonyBoy - Exactly, we have all freelanced, these guys act like they are better than people. It is amazingly unearned.DrBombay
- How do you know what's unearned or not? Why aren't you freelancing now then? If you had it so good, why go work for someone?mathinc
- someone else?mathinc
- I am a nice guy... thank you!
- BonSeff0
just stay in your shoes, don't come around here talking about how much money you make, and how you would fire imaginary people if they worked for your imaginary company...
- PonyBoy0
'freelanced'...full time? As in... more than a few weeks between jobs?
I've been on my own or on contract (not employed) for 6+ years now. I've more than earned my biznuss stripes regardless of the size of my operation (which I prefer to keep small because I'm not interested in hiring chumps who'll waste my dime talking Politics online all day... tehehe)...
Does it hurt your feelings that I'm calling some of you out for wasting your bosses money? :D
And wow... I mention that silly $2,200 and you all just trip out... you're all so adorable when you're in a frenzy. :D :D
- PonyBoy0
I wasn't trying to make you feel guilty... you all don't have to go back to work now... sheesh. :)
- BonSeff0
some of us work smarter, not harder.
- It's not the size that counts either.mathinc
- I joke! Alright I'm actually going to work since now I've wasted my own time for the last couple hours. I love you guys I really do.mathinc
- i'll take statements only tommy understands for $200, AlexBonSeff
- you say 'Alex'... are you really talking to JazX? :DPonyBoy
- I was comparing your empty cliche with another one.mathinc
- We should have a cliche thread on qbn, BonSeffer, would you do the honor?mathinc
