I mean like I said in that note, CNN drives me bonkers because some of their programming is kinda lefty, then you get Lou Dobbs who really belongs on Fox..and then you get mainstream inside the Beltway dickwads like Blitzer...it makes my head spin to watch that network. Pick a fucking bias and stick with it at least...
With Fox, besides their obvious bias, nearly all their anchors are smarmy as fuck and I just want to neck punch them, They all remind me of the rich kids form my high school. And on MSNBC Rachel Maddow reminds me of the girls on the debate team...ug..more neck punches there..Olbermann is like that guy you like sometimes, but usually you just wish he would shut up so you can watch the movie...
The only TV news program I can stand to watch is the MacNeil-Leher report on PBS (and sure, go ahead call it lefty if you must) or BBC international.

Nancy Grace sickens me. She had a show once about some murder in California, and couldn't even an opinion of sympathy and just sat there and said "what do I know, I'm just an ex-trial lawyer." it was so snide and so condescending to every person on the planet that this vile woman that exploits countless tragedies for personal gain couldn't even offer a thought beyond her "tough" script.

Most of the people on TV are annoying as hell. I mostly just read blogs to get my news these days, Drudge, Daily Kos, Open Left, Next Right, Cenk Uygur of Young Turks radio show. Actually NPR or BBC is probably the best source for purely unbiased news.

Well I have always liked bbcnews, but I find it pretty amusing they do not have a single tidbit of information regarding the tea party protests. Apparently they have more important things to report on like "YouTube orchestra tuning up in NY " and "How ships fight off pirates"

When you listen to BBC is does kick in that the rest of the world is pretty far too the left of the U.S. norm. For all the hysteria about liberals and socialism, we are definitely pretty far to the right of world opinion.

I don't see anything contradictory between being liberal or progressive and wanting to make cuts in the federal government where we are wasting money. I have trouble pointing to much that my tax dollars have achieved in the past 10 years other than launch an invasion and rebuilding of a country on the other side of the world that has had zero impact on my life.
Why can't progressive goals be achieved through a leaner, more streamlined government? Too bad Obama's "Chief Performance Officer" had to step down over the stupid tax issue. I hope he hires another one.

GetRefresh Report: Sacramento Tea Party
Well, it was a thrill to attend the Sacramento tea party. I believe some 3000-5000 people attended. I'll watch the evening news to get the actual count. The event was 100% respectful and civil. No shouting. Very peaceful. I witnessed no "opposition" protests, or related people of any kind. Folks from all walks of life attended, from the rich, to the ass to the curb poor. Young and old, black, white, latino, native american (oops, I'm starting to sound like Obama).
State Senators, members of Congress, and other distinguished guests spoke from a large stage, right in front of the State Capitol Building (I wonder if Arnold was in"?). Yes, Cavuto was there. TONS of media, bloggers, photogs, videogs— Security was impressive and quite thick. It was quite a scene. Lots of red, white and blue, everywhere you looked. "Don't Treat On Me" flags everywhere. Cheering, chanting, "USA", etc. All in all, many of you, despite your political orientation, as "Americans" may have likely appreciated the day. I did.
