Obama said that "America is no longer a Christian nation"... I say, FUCK YOU. But personal feelings aside, what a fucking STUPID thing to say.
Straight up, Obama is a moron, and a buffoon. Go the fuck home.
- America has long been a melting pot of many cultures and faiths. Maybe you're the fucking moron.colab

He didn't say it is *no longer* a Christian nation. He said it is not a Christian nation. He was just stating the obvious.

Article VI: "no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."
Amendment 1: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
- Exactly my point. Therefore, Obama was ill advised to single out Christians. What an ass-muncher.********
- he didn't single out in that way I think (see transcript)ribit

But didn't Obama actually say this in Turkey?:
"I've said before that one of the great strengths of the United States is, although as I mentioned we have a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values," said the president.

Christians sure are sensitive about their power and influence.
I am an atheist but if Obama says we are not an atheist nation I am not gonna burst into tears like GetRefresh.
- In that case, you could simply, and legitamately cite the 1st amendment.mikotondria3

Bwahaha.... Obama let it slip that 'this' is not a Christian nation. Diplomacy aside it has to be as much a personal conviction and statement as much as a political one.
Obama is a smart, educated man - of COURSE he doesn't believe that some cosmic jewish zombie can make him live forever if he symbolically eats his flesh and telepathically asks him to be his lord and master so he remove and evil force from his soul which is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a taking snake to eat from a magical tree.
Of course he doesn't, just like every other rational sane person doesn't, only most of them feel they have to say they do as to not upset their family, who've all agreed to say this as well. And to be sure, if I'd have HAD to have said it to get the job I wanted, I'd sure as hell turn round a few months into it and coded say that I didn't believe this crap, and I'd be bloody glad when I did, just to stick the finger up at all the moneyed, powerful lunatics that have sneakily taken over the back rooms of this country and made it 'christian'.- ^ya but the constitution isnt based on atheist principles. just a thoughtrobco
- what exactly are atheist principles?DrBombay
- They are the same Humanist prinicples that Xians cherry pick their current 'modern' biblical interpretations from.mikotondria3
- maybe we can have the atheists write a new neo-moral constitution then.robco

Does anyone ever watch Hannity, out of just utter morbid curiosity? I'm watching it right now, and, while not surprised, I'm pretty awestruck by just how much he tries to Americanize, Freedomize, etc. topics they discuss, and ways he portrays himself. It's all in a thinly-veiled effort, I think, to say Republicans and Conservatives are Americans, anyone else isn't, doesn't love their country, doesn't believe in it, etc.
It's really, really unreal to watch this stuff. He's got this panel discussion called "Great American Panel" as if to suggest only great, Republican leaning American are either great, or truly American.
He drops alot of "I love freedom, and my country" and it's like, do they think people are stupid enough to look at it all and think only Republicans are that way?
Then again, I guess I'm watching Fox News, so anything goes!

I mean, this moron Hannity is just disgusting. He's talking to Fran Dresher right now about universal healthcare, and this is how the conversation just went:
Fran: We happen to have elected a president who has a plan of action
Hannity: a leftist, a radical
Fran: Not true, not true actually
Hannity: [wringing hands on head] Okay, okay, he's a moderate, he's a conservative
Fran: You know what, he's a man. He's an intellectual giant
Hannity: An intellectual giant? Would you hang out in reverend wright's church for 20 years? that's a real smart guy that made that decision - to hang out with Bill Ayers - a genius!
Fran: I think he's one of the first presidents in a long long time that is really commited to helping all of our people
Hannitty: oh geez. you're killing me. you're really killing me.What a fool. so disrespectful. How does this guy sleep at night?
- seriously though an 'intellectual' giant? there's nuts on both sidesKwesiJ

ding dong.
can any of you that are in the "climate change denier" camp please post your peer-reviewed evidence to support your claim?
Can you also stack up your evidence against the peer-reviewed science from the other side so we can have a look at what evidence is on the table.
I know the climate is massively complex and trans-disciplinary but we have to start somewhere.
thanks.

Low I'm pretty sure you're more than capable to research the info you're looking for, you can even try to filter QBN because this subject has be debated ad nauseam.
but i'll help you out and give you a link to an interresting video
http://video.google.com/videopla…disclaimer: once again I don't want to start a silly debate, so i'll say it straight up, I wish people around the world would take better care of our planet but i find it silly that the one now crying for more control have been the one polluting it without refrain for decade, even blowing nukes in the stratosphere but thats another debate. I've watch Al Gore's movie and after doing a quick search even I found some discrepancy in it. so I guess a normal thinking human can do the same. its a fuckn scam.

if you think the doc above is too strange

Georges... I was being facetious :)
They would be searching for a while because the weight of evidence is against the "deniers".
I'm may be involved in a pre-COP15 research event... imagine that.
