hopefully it'll work out era, you seemed to really like her. i knew she was't totally with it when she threw down her credit card and said she'd pay half. yes under some circumstances, and always from a man's point of view, that can be cool, but this is a woman's strategy. if you pay for everything it places her in more of a girlfriendish role, but if she goes dutch it keeps that "friends" card on the table and makes it less of a date...so i saw that as a bad sign.
if she likes you she may take a bit of time to get her past out of the way and then be more available for you.

Well, she never blamed me for what happened. She just said that she maintained she wanted to be friends "for now". (Actually, she said "I enjoy hanging out. Lets just keep it simple for now" or something). But then she proceeded to ask me questions on what my future plans are or if I was in a rush to get married and told me a number of her fetishes (that I had), not to mention some fun in the bedroom. So I haven't a clue what she was looking for. She's say "lets keep it simple" and then call me at 1am to go to her place and have fun. if anything, she was the one pressuring to move forward. So, needless to say, I was confused.

I try to pay halves at the beginning of anything - it's a buffer (for me atleast) in case I don't like the guys I don't feel bad later for making him pay. Keeping it friendly is fine I think - keeps things casual. No sense rushing into it. Sounds like she wants to get to know you before anything serious (or exclusive) is set.
just my opinion though...
