My mom and I had a relationship that's all about feeding. And food. I've only included birthday shots here, but many of my other pictures have to do with food as well. Now it's time for me to go off into the world on my own ;)
(in the 3rd one I am laughing because my sister, who was apparently my "bestest" friend EVER at the time, was really excited about the cake my mom was about to feed her)

hey, tank.
I today took the Coimbra-Penacova road back to my place as a tribute for your mum. I stopped at the new-bridge overlooking the Mondego river (I bet she loved it) and made a personal wish. Let me say that we're deeply honoured that she's been here taking care of our stray animals. We cannot thank her enough. atb.
- She loved Portugal, she wanted to go back the last months but due to declining health it was impossible. thank you for the tribute.tank02

So very sorry for your loss tank.
My Mum (that’s how we spell it here) looks after my 2 boys a couple of days a week. When my nieces and nephews were born she and my Dad were in the middle of their divorce, so she didn’t get to spend much time with them (those kids are now in their twenties). First thing she said when my first son was born was that she didn’t want to make that mistake this time.
She does all the things Grandmas are supposed to do – lets my oldest boy drink Coke (just a little), lets him pee in the bath, just indulges their childish leanings.
She is a database creator and a wiz at teaching other retirees all those apps that we laugh about here – FrontPage, PowerPoint, Word, etc. She rings me for PhotoShop help at all hours of the day or night. She taught herself computers after she and Dad split.
When my son first told her “I love you Grandma” last week, it brought tears to her eyes, much like the ones in mine now as I type this.
All the best Tank. When we all eventually tread that path, folks like you are there to show us the way.

Sorry for your loss Tank.
I almost lost my Mom to cancer but she pulled through and has been doing ok for the last two years. I have no idea what I would do if she didn't make it.

That reminds me it's my moms B-day in a few weeks.

wow man, so sorry for your loss...
to keep the spirit of the thread alive:
i had a good time with my mom this weekend at our family reunion up in duluth. we played dominos and took some photos. nice and relaxing.- after reading my post it kind of makes me seem like an asshole talking about the good time my mom and I had. That was not >lvl_13
- that was not my intention at all. I should have just left it at "I'm sorry for your loss". Really, your post just made me realize >lvl_13
- that no matter how much time you have with them, in the end it doesn't seem like enough... And sometimes I take that for granted>lvl_13
- for granted. You made me realize I should not do this because you just don't know what tomorrow brings. I'm sorry.lvl_13
- pffft. what an assflashbender
- you have been officially reprimanded.lvl_13

Tank, I am really sorry to hear that. I remember well you writing about your mom here in the last months. You submitted a photo of both of you to ntmugs, I uploaded it not so long ago.
All the best to you.
