So very sorry for your loss tank.

My Mum (that’s how we spell it here) looks after my 2 boys a couple of days a week. When my nieces and nephews were born she and my Dad were in the middle of their divorce, so she didn’t get to spend much time with them (those kids are now in their twenties). First thing she said when my first son was born was that she didn’t want to make that mistake this time.

She does all the things Grandmas are supposed to do – lets my oldest boy drink Coke (just a little), lets him pee in the bath, just indulges their childish leanings.

She is a database creator and a wiz at teaching other retirees all those apps that we laugh about here – FrontPage, PowerPoint, Word, etc. She rings me for PhotoShop help at all hours of the day or night. She taught herself computers after she and Dad split.

When my son first told her “I love you Grandma” last week, it brought tears to her eyes, much like the ones in mine now as I type this.

All the best Tank. When we all eventually tread that path, folks like you are there to show us the way.
