A 1990 something Hyundai excel, used. It was awful. The car would overheat every time I stopped in traffic or even at a fast food drive thru. It was also literally falling apart physically. The car looked like it was in good shape when I got it, but then it just started coming apart. Total piece of shit.

That's a photo of the '93, but my first car was a 1994 Ford Aspire. And yes, it was that barney the dinosaur purple color...stick shift. Four speed. The if the air conditioning was on at a stop, it would kill the car. Held seven gallons of gas but got 40+ miles to the gallon.
