I passed my test in 1985 and started driving in a dodgy second hand mini van. The only tale of note I can remember about it was driving down the busy A5 in the rain when a stone flew up from a lorry and blew out the windscreen. The whole thing shattered into a mosaic of tiny bits so I had to quickly slow down and punch a hole in it so I could see. I then drove on with the rain & wind lashing into my face, no pulling over or ringing the AA or RAC for me, oh no, I just headed straight for home. I don't remember anything else about it, sorry old mini van, but you got me home in one piece.

White version of this. 1999 Toyota Corolla Levin. This model with the round lights lasted one year. I think it looks rad and wish I still had it.

Have been lurking for a while, but need to add to this one! 950cc Mk1 Fiesta. Had this thing 4 wheel sliding around corners at 60mph. Would get 5 of us to a rave and back. What a hero.

1972 Chevy Suburban - bean bags, couch chair and one giant house speaker. It was like a living room on wheels and completely not road legal.
