I am sure others here have a hard time explaining what they do and why they justcan't stop designing. Personally I have a hard time balancing life/work/family and what not... I recently was able to be a part of developing this

- haha! Drinking at 3 on fridays at the office is always good too. Oh and the bottle of Grey Goose in the fridge just in case a client is crazy.

Agreed jevad, its a strange profession. I got a call from a client one Friday night a few weeks ago. I was working on a magazine and they were late supplying articles, so the client rings me at 3 on a Friday afternoon to make sure I was going to be working late on it. Not to see if I could work late, or to exquire if I was going to be working late, but to make sure I was.
Told her that it was Friday, I was going home at 5.30 and that even if I were to stay late the printer wasn't going to print it till Monday. She was offended, like I'd just beaten her cat in front of her, and couldn't understand why I would possibly NOT be working on a Friday night.

as our clients consolidate into larger entities and no longer employ us, there is more time for personal work

I have seen that happening as well... But as the big boys combine forces that allows us to find work we are even more passionate about.
