The surgery went well. Now he is recovering. They are not sure but left part of his body may be paralyzed.

Hey MrDinky,
I know what you are going through,
my mom is loosing her battle against cancer.
The couldn't operate and take it away,
so its already a plus that they could with your dad.
My mom is at the moment paralyzed from the waist
down, its scary to say a parent like this
but i can say only one thing, cherish all
the moments you can be with them
and take every day as it comes.take care & a really hope he will get better!!!

Word. Frankly I love that we can all take a moment, while staring at our screens from different parts of the world, to give someone we've known, no matter how anonymously, words of encouragement and care. We've all adopted lives, personalities, and communities online, so reaching out and giving back are just a valid experiences.
Knowing Dinky is experiencing a difficult time and trying to relate to that has honestly given me pause today to think about some things other than the superficial nonsense of my day. I hope this all has a happy ending.

Indeed, even with our playfulness on this site we have serious side and help one another when in need. Over the years I have been an ass on this site and will continue to do so, but I realized that when I show my vulnerabilities, I become human.
When some people need money or need help, I think we all help regardless of our erratic behavior.

Love and strength to you and your pops. Being there for our parents in times like these, is all we can do and I'm sure you bring great joy to him as well.
I for one, appreciate every time someone here has said a nice word, heck even a dumb one! and even though we might all be a bunch of clowns (most of the time) i do believe most of us are here for a reason.... supporting each other is one of them, imo. ;)
