Seriously not looking to win. Just looking to push myself and see where my breaking point is. So please - keep pushing me - because the more you guys run, the more I have to run.
- mattiaBK0
14 Km won't get you far, jevad! Keep pushing!
- lvl_130
yeah, 13.1 miles. won't be doing that.
nice run though
- jevad0
That's ridiculous.
I'm out for several days now with stomach problems and bruised heel and I'm not even going to try to play catch up if you guys are throwing down 20k runs - fuck that.
Duke it out amongst yourselves!
- mattiaBK0
Jevad, don't worry I do that only once a week! ;-)
Sorry to hear about your health problems, I hope you'll get well soon.
- akrokdesign0
hope you get well soon, jevad.
- VectorMasked0
get better dude
avoid running at all costs. problems could come back latern on if you don't rest for a long long time
;o)
- mattiaBK0
Did any of you ever run a half or full marathon?
- not me, but maybe one day!nib101
- not yet. would be fun doh.akrokdesign
- mattiaBK0
Took two days off after my long run and now and I'm back on the road. 5 miles (8Km) this morning.
Nice running VectorM!! How are you feeling Jevad?
I hope everybody is well. Keep on running!

I've been getting whacky run results like 18min pace for 6miles when I would actually run over 7miles in under an hour. Tried a new sensor this morning (the other was giving me a low battery warning) but it still seems to jump from a 7min pace to 16+min paces... Hopefully I can figure this out tonight.
- should have read your post! i'm getting the same kind of thing. not as extreme as yours though.lvl_13
- Its been really accurate for almost 2 years until I bought a new pair of Nikes two months agout. Go fig.selfproclaim
- I've noticed my pace sometimes drops dramatically. From 8-9 to 14. Weird. it never happened before and my sensor is new.VectorMasked
- actually I am getting contrasting results like this alsojevad
- lvl_130
what up everyone!
my sensor seems to be spot on with the the distance, but i don't get the dips and climbs visuals when you click into a run after upload. it seems to be really wacked. plus the numbers it gives me for each km seems to be a bit jacked as well. maybe not, but i know i didn't go from running a 4m22s/km to a 6m7s/km??
i'm not even sure what the more accurate time is? i'm not a fast runner, but what would be a a good 5k time? my last one 24m42s.
my wife says she has ran it under 20m (she runs about every day and has run several marathons). but 20 minutes!? i don't think i'll ever touch that! haha
- mattiaBK0
You run between 8:30 to 8:40 minute pace. It's not bad at all!! But you wife is a speed demon! :D If she would run a 5K at an even 20 minute, her pace would be less 5 minute/mile!
Just to give you an idea elite runners run an average of 4:15 a mile!!!
- VectorMasked0
Good job guys. It's pretty even this time.
Didn't run yesterday and probably won't run today coz of the weather, but it seems as if it the sky will be clear tomorrow, so expect a nice run in he morning.
- <- I seriosuly needed a break. My right leg is like not responding. Should be energized by tomorrow.VectorMasked
- i think my legs are going to fall off and run awayjevad

To everyone that have some calibration issues, read this list to make sure you did it right. :D
1. Starting running and reach you pace before you get to the start of the calibration run - that way your total 'lap' will be at the same pace
2. Maintain the pace that you will be running at throughout the calibration
3. Run naturally and unencumbered; i.e. backpack, unless you will be running with a backpack, for example if you are in the military
4. Use a 400m running track if you can and run on the inside lap
5. If you can’t use a track, try a (American)football field, (they measure 100 x 53), stand on the goal line, run one lap (306yds), one width (53yrds) and then to the 41 yard line (303 + 53 + 41 = 400), not ideal but better than just guessing
6. If you are using the street make sure the measured distance is flat: ups and downs will effect your pace and subsequently the calibration
7. Make sure you sensor is the right way up; with the logo face up
8. Reset the calibration (from the Nike+ iPod menu) before calibrating – this is voodoo, but who knows
9. Your sensor works best when it is horizontal, close to the ground, and held firmly in position, Nike+ shoes are best, probably followed by the Velco pouch/mount option on the laces.
10. Try to avoid calibrating on a treadmill, for lots of reasons this is not a good idea and will often only end in frustration
11. Remember if you are running faster or slower than the pace you have calibrated at, the results will vary, if you want to run a Long Slow Run at a 8:30 pace a 6:15 5k calibration will not work and visa versa, recalibrating for the correct pace will save you time energy and keep your frustration to a minimum
12. If you really mix up your runs, buy a second or third sensor, now available for $19 (₤10?) on their own and have them calibrated a varying paces
13. If you walk when in a ‘run’ calibration your overall pace will decrease and vice versa if you run when in walk pace
14. It is advisable to calibrate both run and walk settings if you plan to include walking as a part of you training
15. Hold you iPod in your hand when you calibrate, fumbling with cases and armbands while running is not easy at the best of times, yet alone when calibrating
16. Not a tip but often overlooked, your calibrating mileage does not count, it will not show up when you upload to you account or in any of the challenges; still want to run a 5k calibration?
17. If you are getting frustrated with the calibration, throw your iPod down and jump on it several times, ensure that it is level with the ground and that the logo is face up, retrieve it from the dirt, write something derogatory on it and send to either Steve Jobs or Phil Knight. Seriously if it’s going bad, trying to do it over and over will just drive you nuts. Put it away, go for a run and try again tomorrow- forget it. I won't read all that.
:o)VectorMasked - Hey not my problem, just trying to be helpful.mattiaBK
- forget it. I won't read all that.
