i wonder if nike is bringing something out for the new iphone seeing as through it has GPS capabilities It would be interesting to see your exact speeds at every point on the map
- It wont work as a tracking on the go GPS, like Garmin or TomTom********
- are you sure you can't track?joyride
- how come? Oh i was looking forward to having mario kart style ghost races with my former selfpeterorpete

lol @ lvl_13
I haven't ran in 2 days. :op
- VectorMasked0
BTW, I am having problems with my right leg. It's almost as if it doesn't want to respond anymore. Plus I am feeling a little discomfort in the thigh area. I'm pretty sure it is because of exhaustion. I don't think I am physically "there" yet to be attempting to pull off consistently the amount kilometres i have so far. I'd better chill a bit in the next few days, and run less, coz it's even making it tougher for to just even walk.
:o(
- get better man. no need to sacrifice your longterm health over a comp. between a bunch of design nerds :Dlvl_13

Look at you guys all tiny.. I can't barely see you anymore..
all the dust in my eyes is making me blink a lot..Could you guys take it easy on the ephedrine?
I'm going to log some Kms tomorrow morning, but san diego is freaking hot these days... I can't really run at night, so I guess I just have to wake up earlier than 7am
- akrokdesign0
yeah, too much working out....i didn't run anything. just kickboxing. lol.
- jevad0
I am in serious amounts of pain - but it's a good pain you know? I think my body is desperate for rest and an off day, and now that it's stopped raining and the sun is out I might just have a couple of days on the beach!
- jevad0
I just ran 8k. I know I did, because the fucking TREADMILL said so. So why then, does this PIECE OF SHIT nike+ sportband say I only ran 1.5k
HMMMMMMMM????
- treadmills make fat people feel good, nike tell the truth********
- hahah, jens, stop thatJaline
- Because of the impact difference between street/ treadmill, nike+ does not work on the second oneMeeklo

Oh, Jevad, welcome to the nightmare!! Nike+, sensor or Sportband, don't really go together. It's a major pain in the ass calibrating N+ on the treadmill! On Sunday I ran on the treadmill and my sportband said I ran 21Km when I actually ran 25Km!
It's one of the main reasons why I don't run much on the TM.This morning it was a good outdoor 10 Km run. Tomorrow or Sunday another long run. How long? We will see. :D
Keep up the good work and be careful, don't over do it! ;-)
- lvl_130
put in 7k this morning. fuck it was hot (and it really was only 70!)...but no wind + me tired + me weak = crappy slowwww run. i just can't do morning workouts :\
- not sure I can either, but it IS when I feel the most enthusiastic. someone just has to wake me up first.Jaline
- (I'm not sure that made any sense, but once I'm up, out of bed, I feel more energized)Jaline
- ugg. not me. it takes me at least an hour...usually 2 :\lvl_13
- yeah, it kind of depends on what I did last night...Jaline
- *mind wanders.

seems boring
- i felt the same way. still do some days...lvl_13
- It is boring.Jaline
- def boring. I'm bored already.
I sometimes feel after 3km like stopping and searching 4 a gun in the woods to stop my misery.VectorMasked - hah. right!akrokdesign
- I listen to good chunes, and I enjoy itMeeklo
- i envy you dude. The biggest obstacle for me is patience. I start going cray after 3 km.VectorMasked
- perhaps you should try uploading a new mix as the makoto & Deeizm is not doing its job with me anymore.VectorMasked
- cray = crazyVectorMasked

I felt that way when I first started 2 years ago, but after a couple of weeks, I totally got into it! I really can't live w/o running now.
I'm addicted! I ran in the rain, in the snow, at -10ºF (-23ºC), in the morning, at night, at the beach, in the mountains. In Rome around Piazza San Pietro. :D My running shoes, and Nike+, are always with me, never leave without. You can slow me down (i.e. tendinitis to my right knee), but you won't make me quit.
Trust me, try it, it will be well worth it. ;-)

damn you lvl_13!
hate playing catch up, but I guess I have no choice.
Will start running tomorrow again.Legs feeling better now. These 5 days of not running have really helped.
- mattiaBK0
I wanted to do a long run but I decided to take it easy (little less than 5mi). This coming week is going to be tough, I am in the middle of another team challenge and we want to win it! :D
On another note today was run #450, since I began running in 2006, and I passed the 2200 mile mark (3,542 Km). :D
- so is that like a milestone?
This coming week I'll reach 250 which i know is one.VectorMasked - Personal milestone. You get Nike badges for 250, 500, 1000, and 2000 miles. Not sure in Km.mattiaBK
- so is that like a milestone?
- VectorMasked0
Well dudes and dudettes, I just ran after my 5 day break due to muscle exhaustion, and just recorded my best run ever. 8.3 km. It's lame by the standard of others by it's good for me. The 5 day vacation really helped.
So, mattiaBK..., could you by any chance post the name of the other challenge so than i can join, compete with the opposing team to you and spoil your fun?
:o) is that a yes? :o)
- jevad0
Well I don't really understand how the treadmill is a problem because I don't usually use one but have used it twice last week for a 5k and a 10k run and both times the treadmill AND my sportband had the same distance. So to go from that, to a 6.5k difference is ridiculous...
- VectorMasked0
The difference is that the amount of time the foot spends on the floor is different when the 'floor' is moving than when it is still.
I frequently exercise on a treadmill and always end up with different numbers. My speed of 5.5km per hour on the streets is read as 7.5 on the treadmill. The time it takes me to do 5k on the streets translate into barely 3.5 km on the treadmill. You just gotta get used to that. I have and use it as extra motivation as it takes more time and effort to match the numbers you would get from running on the streets.
- I hear that some people bought two sensors, one for the treadmill and one for the road.mattiaBK
- If calibrate it on the treadmill it should give a better read.mattiaBK
- I actually attempted to calibrate it like 5 times on the treadmill n always got da message that it was unable to read anything.VectorMasked
- VectorMasked0
oops forgot to as this...
Running on a treadmills is like ice skating... you sort of slide and therefore the foot spends more time making contact with a surface and the sensors reads it as jogging rather than running pretty much.
