Ok I've seen it and was pleasantly surprised - Its directed by Jon Favreau (sidekick to vince vaughn in Swingers). Its not cheesey or naff like the fantastic four films and Robert Downey Jr brings his off screen persona perfectly fitting to the screen.
Its not as dark as batman begins, however its not too kiddish.

saw it for the third time again last night, had to go cuz the wifey wanted to watch it with another couple..... thought I loved the movie but I fell asleep watching it this time
