I like that Apple fixed my problem (i.e. gave me a refund without any issue) but it did bum me out that my first big purchase from them didn't go as planned. This is to be expected now, but the disappointment was there.

it didn't die at all, the backlight just kept going dim, while i had it in for that, i asked them to replace the bottom case, it was warped a little above the release latch...
they called me monday to let me know it was readt, but when i got there, the case wasn't fixed and some dope came out all apoligizey and promised it'd be done "first thing" tues morning... so around 2pm yesterday, i called since i hadn't heard anything, and some other dope told me to come in and pick it up.
it was still being fixed as they had damaged the backlight on the keyboard. i was there for 2 hours of "just 10 more minutes!" when i decided to go across the way for a drink.
when i came back an hour later it was the same shit, so i simply told the manage that the bs of them keeping it a whole week, starting the repair the day before it was supposed to be done, then having me come out there 2 days in a row to go home with nothing was unacceptable. i used my evil face.

No, madirish, remember when they didn't send me what I had ordered? With the HD space and everything. But whatever, it's an old story.
I should stop talking about that before I sound like a whiner. Actually, I think it's too late :P
