i don't even know what that thing does, but i bet it sucks. just a gut feeling.

I don't know. I think the possibilities for porn on that are intriguing.

does it count your drinks and mails your boss?

seems like more of a novelty than something that would get a lot of use. i saw a presentation a year ago that used this same sort of multipoint touchscreen technology - another unorginal idea from Microsoft

i guess if apple did this, everyone would be excited about it?

(May 30 07, 05:40)Not necessarily - did you see a lot of excitement about iTV or whatever it's called. I sure didn't - any why? - because the functionality isn't really that great. If I want to sort photos, I'll use my computer. If I want my kid to draw I'll give him some crayons. If I want to find directions, I'll use mapquest. Not sure that I see the point of this thing. It's seems like more of an ill thought out novelty.

indeed max
i think its very cool
its multi touch interface like here
but made more commercial and usable

planet
thats the idea
you are still thinking about in the mind set of using your traditional way of sorting photos etcits a different kind of way to use interface and how devices interact with them.
more seamless connectivity and interactive / communication between them.

not really, what I am saying is the multipoint touchscreen is cool, but I don't see it speeding up my workflow. Show me some applications that make this tool worth the investment. What I am saying is Maps, Coloring, Photos - who cares? Nothing is compelling me. It's unique, I'm sure it would be fun to use. But to me, it's a novelty. The benefits aren't worth $100 to me.

I find it pretty amazing.. not that they invented it, but this is a great idea coming to life. I've always found keyboard+mouse combination a lame input interface so that is a step in a very interesting direction
