Those of you who DO NOT have any, but have wondered if you would ever get one, what would you get?
My GF and I were talking about this last night, and I figured it might be cool to have a full sleeve of patterned Victorian wallpaper, or cartographic lines of elevations.
Not that I would ever do that, just thought it would be interesting and not-the-norm.
Anything you've thought of?

I like the organic stuff that Guy Aitchison does... http://images.hyperspacestudios.…
And, I've been getting work done by Gunnar... http://www.nohappyending.com/tat…
By the time I'm done, I should have a combination sleeve done by both artists.
Love their work.

one of the favorites of all the tattoos i've seen was a dude i met at a show a few years ago. he had two full sleeves of graywork featuring classic horror movie monsters: karloff, chaney, lugosi; intertwined was film/film reels, etc.
badass, i'm telling you.

Just don't get anything Asian. This includes (but not limited to): symbols/characters, fish, trees or flowers, religious/spiritual figures.
Asian is the new tribal.

i don't have one, and don't think i could ever get motivated to get one. i really admire great skin art but i also know that at some point i'd get tired of mine. i just can't imagine liking the same piece of graphic on my skin for 40 or 50 years :\

George Carlin's:
Little dotted lines all round areas of the body that bend. And little notes next to them that say "Fold Here"

ahahah.

that's crazy, brooke. japanese traditional style tattooing is one of the oldest and finest forms. nothing 'new' about it.

I have one of a mouse with a cork gun and it says "I'm on a pussy hunt"

The trend is new, not the art.

See designers always say this crap ohh I am scared I won't like it in like one months time, and this is why all designers are about as butch as an ice skaters friend.

(Mar 23 07, 08:11)i'm a big jerk when it comes to this, but i believe that unless you have some sort of tie w/the culture, the tattoo just looks cheesy. i.e. unless you've got some maori in you, stay away from those tribals. same w/the japanese koi, chinese characters etc.
i know i'll get pounded for saying that. i just think it's lame and trendy.
