are you guys telling me that the last image we will have of saddam will be a cum fest?
couldn't they put him in a special case with other guys that kill children for breakfast?
when will some american convicted in the International Court?
what about the contras in Nicarágua, or the CIA agents that helped to kill thousands around the world?
i don't give a fuck about saddam, for me he is like so many others around the world, you know, but he was on the wrong side, because if he was US and A friendly he could kill almost everyone...and that's a fact!

the really messed up thing about this is the charges he is to be hung for happened when he was a friend to the united states 25 years ago. and is over killing 144 people who may or may not have tried to assasinate him. no mention of the hundreds of thousands that everyone in america is actually equating this to.
he's no boy scout, that is a given, but the particulars of this case make it a dog and pony show.

this whole Iraq affair is absurd. I don't believe it is necessary to wipe out entire countries to catch some terrorists. Like they didn't know where they're hiding...

Regardless of what you think of the Iraq fiasco, Saddam's death by hanging upon sentence by trial, which was probably the best you're going to get in the imperfect circumstances, is justifiable and deserved. He was a murderous S.O.B. Justice will be found for Saddam at the end of that particular rope.
Of course, in the larger picture, his death will only inflame certain factions of the insurgency and make Iraq that much more tinder-box like.
This whole situation is totally FUBAR, and the sad thing is that the perpetrators of it will never even get one iota of their cosmic come-uppance that they so richly and rightly deserve. I just hope that maybe they ARE right in their belief in a vengeful and angry old testament style christian god and he fries their ass for the rest of eternity upon their quiet deaths.

Blue One, a bit out of the question, but a revengeful old style christian god is a jewish god from the Old Testament and not a christian one. Christ tought mercy not revenge. I'm not a religious person, but since i live in a traditional catholic culture i think this distinction must be made.
And there's a lot of SOB dictators around. I'm not saying he's a nice guy but the State condemning people to death is just something i oppose in any circumstance.

Witt, I agree with you, but alot of these fire-and-brimstone new fangled born agains seem to love to quote from the Old Testament and seem to worship a vengeful god and not a forgiving one. Just calling it as I see it.
And methinks even as I type Saddam is choosing his last meal and making peace with his maker. It's Bush style to do shit late on a Friday so the news leaks out slowly..even more so on a nearly worldwide holiday weekend..
