see GOP thread

what does this say about our collective concept of reasonable justice?
i dunno. i think he should have been locked up forever and ever.
killing him will just make him into a martyr for his followers.

The GOP thread is just mrdobolina acting like a 7 year old. He already spun it entirely off topic as always.

You may be right vespa but there is a finality now.
- vespa0
but actually there won't, balance.
it will mean his legacy gets spun out by his followers. which is clearly a terrible thing.
- vespa0
i meant, there won't be "finality".
it's "finality" in terms of this is the end of the film saga. but in terms of history this will just spark off more shit.

death is too easy and totally unsatisfying for that wanker.
- Balance0
vespa then you think a life sentence wouldn't spin his followers? If we were to follow that logic then if you really don't want to make his followers angry one would think if we released him there would end violence? I don't think there is any way around facing anger from his "followers".

vespa is right.
perishing away in a cell would throw him into oblivion and thus his legend will devalue.
god knows how many fanatics the world has seen thanks to the insane devotion to martyrdom.
- vespa0
they should have put him in a cell with his eyes kept open with matchsticks and lubricated so he could never blink whilst being forced to watch images of the death and hell in iraq that he has had such a direct hand in. beethoven's fifth playing over and over.
this clockwork orange style of "sit and think about what you have done" could also be applied to some of our leaders.
- ********0
haha vespa.
- vespa0
are you religious, balance? you must understand the power of the idea of someone dying for his followers.
- ********0
jesus.
- Balance0
I'm not religious vespa but comparing him to our leaders or our leaders to Nazis and all that shit is where this conversation turns into a rediculous blackhole. I can't do that whole comparison thing because anyone with half a brain can see a very clear difference. I have to discredit that type of conversation because its really lame and obvious.

I was hoping Saddam would be sentenced to read the Coran in Comic Sans until the end of his days, but i guess the judge has chosen a faster way to knock him down.
- vespa0
i thought we were having a discussion rather than an argument.
"lame and obvious", what a shame you have to close the discussion in that way.
- Balance0
The 'conversation" turned when you made the comparison not when I called it out as lame.
- ********0
witt, i do not think the Geneva Convention would allow a prisoner to be exposed to Comic Sans for more then 72 hours straight.
there are limits to torture, you know.

the GOP thread started with some troll making a joke about how great the gop is.
7 year old?
Wanting someone to be hanged is more childish and juvenile than anything I could ever say. It does nothing but increase more anger and violence. Why is the military on high alert there and curfews are being enforced if violence isn't anticipated?
Noone is advocating that he be released, so your straw man doesn't hold water.
Lock him up in the Hague and make him the hood ornament of the war on (t)error.
