To sum up what I'm trying to say is, you can't take a unilateral approach in communication. You don't approach individuals the same way each time you want or need something from them, reaction, interation etc, you pander to the individual, right? You have to hold each person on an individual level to get anything in return.
In another explanation, take me moving from North america to Holland. The whole value system is completely different, sure it is changing and there is overlap, but the small nuances and subtlties, like humor, cliche etc are all different, and they're based on culture. When I write concept copy in english here, 8 times out of 10, the concept doesn't translate, because the expressions and triggers don't exist here...
ya dig?

i dig.
however, it seems to surprise me in the opposite way.
but perhaps i need to travel more to experience the subtleties more.
unfortunately i am piss poor. :/

mmm sorry i waved the red flag at you crouwel. i'm painfully hungover. my pompoms got squashed during my inhuman commute to london this morning after last night's gig in swindon and i ate burger king for breakfast which has made me feel like death.
it's true that the world is mainly shit but there are gems floating amongst the turds. just polish your swimming goggles. diving in a sea of diamonds would be painful too.

"The part of our brain that controls and grows in locked looping with our tools and the part that makes connections among everything to formulate grandiose world-building hallucinations of philosophy and fiction and science are at least isomorphisms of the mysterious and chaotic activity of our complex biological evolution itself, which relies on chaos. There it is, the human brain, that great difference engine, frothing and sputtering away like a mass of leaky coaxial cable drowning in a synaptic bath."
this is good tho.
gives me something to ponder on tonight.
now i am tossing a coin whether to get ciggies or keep quitting..

(Oct 17 06, 09:57)I couldn't say it better..
Each person is different, no matter where you are. Generalizing is mostly used by the uneducated or untravelled."I hate the french"
Assuming all french people are mean or bad, just beacause they where born there, well, you have the liberty to say and think whatever you want. But don't expect other people to don't think you are a bit ignorant.

haha cheers, vespa.
i am glad you sparked some of your positivity over this thread, as yes, i am too bitter lately.
