by the way, I loathe wikipedia as a whole, but I find their treatments of the logical fallacies to be right on, in most cases.

Okay ... I'll bite ... why do you loathe wikipedia as a whole?

No, the issue is your a knee jerk religious moron who cites fundamentalist sources as the basis for most of your points of view and seem apparently either too stupid or bullheaded to realize it. I didn't avoid that. I confronted it head on I thought. With vim and vigor.

flavorful: because I don't think there are enough checks in place to ensure that accurate information gets published there. And people use it as a settled-issue authority on various topics when it is not. I think it has proven to be accurate when it comes to basic term definitions, but I wouldn't put confidence in it beyond that.

Did you ever watch an episode of Star Trek, when they encounter a race of beings confronted with science and technology they don't understand and then they kinda do weird things with it and create all kinds of weird beliefs? It all seems rational inside that contextual box, from outsid eof it, it's a bit looney. See that's you Flaggelum.
Oh why do I bother..
- TheBlueOne0
Look, I'll be a man - I actually agree with Flaggelums point about wikipedia. Well said. Kudos.

I have seen flagellum refer to it as "wickedpedia" before.
That is just scary...

Flagellum, what I really do not like about your stance on this topic is that you are one of these religious types that I am just unallowed to disagree with in this country. Your faith trumps all.
Sorry but I disagree with that.

(Jul 18 06, 11:56)OK, see..now I'm confused...what the hell does that have to do with anything?

I think he is going at the angle that if its written, then it is so in reference to Wikipedia.
- flagellum0
mrdobolina, i'm not a "religious type". I'm a fairly regular guy who happens to believe that there are logical & reliable reasons to embrace Biblical Christianity.
I'm appealing to the research in this discussion, not the Bible.

Also, how do you relate republican politics with the teachings of Jesus? James Dobson is really great at doing this. I think FOF should be forced to pay taxes.
If a group is going to basically lobby government to do their bidding they should at least have to pay their share.
Cutting welfare and aid to sick and poor people is about as opposed to everything I have ever read or heard about Jesus, ever.

I was being silly with the metallica reference.
- ********0
Well it was silly, haha.
- flagellum0
mrdobolina: I don't relate the teachings of Jesus with Republican politics. Jesus belongs to no political party. It may be that there are more Republicans who hold to a Biblical worldview and therefore believe in the sanctity of human life. I don't know.
And I would agree with your statement about welfare as you present it, but that's an issue I know little about.

And I'm a fairly regular guy who happens to believe that there are logical & reliable reasons not to embrace Biblical Christianity.
(and wait..there are other forms of christianity other than the Biblical one? Are you counting all the other gospels they decided to throw out for politicla reasons a few hundred years into the progrom?)
- TheBlueOne0
Can someone ask him to define what a "Biblical worldview" is in his estimation. I'm serious. You know he's ignoring me and all.

(Jul 18 06, 12:01)Does kind of relate to Thomas the Lesser however... in reference to Jesus...
And how they are acting like Thomas the Lesser...
Because he didn't believe Jesus came back from the dead because he didn't see it personally...
Just throwing that out there...
Carry on.
