i read this whole thread, and i agree with what PonyBoy said.
i do want to ask something, for future reference:
why was the exchange between PonyBoy and mrdobolina more like a friendly discussion while the previous ones with flagellum were more hostile? does it have to do with respecting the person or the way their views are expressed?

lots to do with the way their views are expressed. me and ponyboy disagree on a ton of shit, we both know that, it's no big deal. flagellum has a bad approach. he is trying to convert people, its creepy. faith doesnt bother me, outwards displays of faith freak me out. if someone is going to get all into any religion it should be because they want to, not because someone convinced them to.

What was accomplished was that a number of people got to talk about something and some got to further their understanding of it. That's the point of a discussion. For some reason you have to make peripheral comments about whether or not people should be doing that in the first place.

from the sound of it it was just a lot of personal belief bashing, links to religios sites and more personal bashing.
but that's awesome. now i'm going to go look up nihilistic on dictionary.com. you know what they say... pictures are worth a thousand words, cause some words are big and hard to pronounce.
