Sorry flagellum - but James Dobson is a fucking asshole, completely out of touch with the times...
State Universities are breeding grounds, quite literally, for sexually transmitted diseases (including HIV), homosexual behavior, unwanted pregnancies, abortions, alcoholism, and drug abuse.
James Dobson

So, jevad proceeds to launch an ad hominem and then paste a quote which probably statistically is not far off the mark at all.

"LOL@ jevad for not knowing or caring to know the facts on this issue."
I know the facts - I have read what people like Dobson have to say, and what the other side has to say.
And I'm sorry - but if using a few embryonic cells will help us understand and fight diseases like parkinsons - then I am all for it.
I don't consider it a waste or destruction of human life.
And to that respect - I will always disagree with what you, and those like you, have to say on the matter.

Flagellum, your world view involves ghost stories...
Sorry if other people can't get with that.

Here, "TheBlueOne" or "TheTick" whichever:

Hahaha..you're funny...you're the king of Straw men...and I don't need any help from the Great American Stupid

jevad: I doubt seriously you have read anything by Dobson or the FOF organization. Likely, you've just read out of context quotes presented by your political gurus.
And I'm sorry, but if the life of the unborn is put in jeopardy for scientific research - then I'm squarely against it. Especially when the research can be done with adult material which doesn't jeopardize life. And the research has demonstrated this.

Oh look everybody, Flaggelate Me has just learned a new word "Ad hominem" and he's using it in a sentence. An extra giant gold cross on your homework paper tonite boy...

I read the family.org site from time to time to see what nazi-like doctrine dobson is spouting off....in much the same way that I like to watch Bill O'Reilly try to sound like he knows what he's talking about ever.
It's like watching a slow-motion train wreck.

Was Jesus a political fundraiser wrapped up with Ralph Reed?

All my friends are always telling me how hard it is to have kids 'Oh, David, it's so hard.' That's not hard. You wanna know what hard is? Try talking your girlfriend into her third consecutive abortion.

Really funny that Flaggelum-less would atart using the "Ad Hominem" defense - "The implication is that the person's argument and/or ability to argue correctly lacks authority."
As he argues fomr the position that, well, it's in the Bible and if you contradict that you're just wrong, because, well you just are. He needs no more proof other than that.
That my sad, misunderstanding science friend is not critical thinking.
Oh, but I'm being ignored!! Happy day!!!
- TheBlueOne0
Does happy, monty python inspired "You can't see me! You can't see me !!" dance.
- mrdobolina0
the fact that he ignores people so often is so indicative of his opinions it is just funny.
- jevad0
has he gone now?
- flagellum0
no no, mrdobs. I only ignore people who dodge the real issues in the discussion and resort to dishonest ad hominem, name calling, genetic fallacy, etc...
it's a waste of time to weed thru their nonsense.
