it generally renders images that are extreeemely rich of details. all the shadow and highlighted areas will become evenly balanced, resulting in a surreal image of the likes you see a lot in advertising shots these days (car ads etc!)..

looks like a bunch of levels, curves, balance, contrast, overlay, and multiply to me
but i like doing things the hard way

(Apr 27 06, 10:55)it's kinda like that, but multiple exposures give you info in the details that are not present in one single exposure. you can ps the fuck out of it, but if the detail isn't there, you can't magically conjure it out of thin air.

on reading the comments under one of the shots:

Hey, are you using HDR software, or are you using the Photoshop Merge HDR function?

that's wicked. What's HDR? Excuse my ignorance.

Mostly photoshop Francis. I tried the photomatix thing but its just too harsh I think. it takes over the process. But sometimes I use photomatix to render one part of the screen then I get that part and take it into photoshop and merge with the rest of the image. Most of this HDR's are getting a lot of pshop to avoid getting those weird dark spots and to work on colors and exposure of some parts separately."faewhore? the famewhore of olde?
