You all actually think MT is a company?
I must be the only one who knows that "they" actually just a "he," and in fact nothing but an elaborate facade set up to look like more than just a single man reselling hosting accounts with a larger company.

Sponsoring - they sponsor the big design sites, so the small ones come running and think they're part of the elite if they showcase the little (mt) gif on their site.
I can't speak for or against mt, as I do not have a site running on their servers, but their marketing is ingenious.

Everyone is so proud of their media temple hosting why is this? do they send you a super cool little membership package to make you think you're part of an elite club? Do they have unbelievable customer support? Anyone have insight and/or an MT account?

I remember the same thing happening in the early days of Flashkit. They hosted with a company called Burlee, located in Vermont (even though FK was run out of Australia at the time) and to the noobs there it was like THE ONLY place they'd choose for hosting. Hell, I used em for a year, but mostly because of the good reputation they had.

Their customer service is top notch for a hosting company. I called in and was speaking with a representative within a minute the other night.
Aboslutely unheard of for other hosting companies.
Also, their downtime is very minimal and they always send you a report with the details afterwards.
My opinion: Its worth the extra couple bucks a month to pay for something good and reliable. I mean, this stuff is supposed to be our job right?
